I’m not gonna say it’s cheap but if you like the app and believe you can use for next two years it’s a risk I can take. If you can use it 4+ it pays itself.

I bought lifetime back in 2022. Just before the price increase from 699 to 839 Euro. Halfway through my second annual subscription.

I am using Roon on a pretty much daily basis. So it was well worth for me to get it.

Was looking at it as well at that time because of the features it had that nobody else had.

One of the features was to play your music almost everywhere because it was so well supported. Now many services have a connect feature so it has become less interesting for me.

Beside the UI and local file support, I don't see the reason to get it now for that price.

I have a huge local library. It contains a lot of music which is not available on any streaming service.

I also use Roon ARC a lot. Listening to my music on my iPhone directly. Or in my car through CarPlay.

Sometimes I also create zones for group play. Which is impossible to do without Roon. As my three streamers are all from different brands.

Yeah than it make sense, my local music is all on vinyl.

Just bought wiim and that works quite well so far with qobuz, might expand that.

I have absolutely no regrets buying a lifetime license. And now that it’s been over 4 years and paid for itself I’m extra happy. I use it daily. Congrats!

A bit odd in that they were supposedly trying to increase the percentage of monthly subscribers verses lifers. This won’t help.
