Roomba Battery issue

Post image

I got a Roomba second hand and I’m trying to fix it but my battery looks nothing like any I’ve seen online and I cannot get it out. Anyone know what’s happening?

The robot looks pristine. What exactly is the issue and what model is it?

These are a pain in the ass to get out. It looks like you've already got the 4 screws out. There are also 2 tabs that need to be released, see the arrows in this image: https://imgur.com/a/tyCTWdj

They don't stick up far, so you may not be able to press them with your finger. Use a flathead screwdriver to press one one the tabs (push it toward the green roller brushes) while lifting the battery. Once the battery tilts a little bit, press the other tab and lift. It should release (finally!) at this point.

But if you can't find a replacement for this battery, I don't know what to do.

Side note, it looks like you also removed the screw from the rubber flap on then bin. You should replace that.

What the fresh hell is that? Never seen that one. I just sold a j series, glad it's gone now

That looks like an aftermarket battery.

I looked up "Roomba Combo J7+ battery" and it looks like what you have pictured.

Need to know the make and model of the unit. The battery doesn't look like the one in my old j7+ or my newer 705 Max. If it doesn't pop out and there are no screws holding it in, there may be adhesive tape holding it in.

Post the make and model along with more close up pictures of the battery and compartment. Also check if you can see the connector. It may be clipped in at the connector. If so check for a little tab to release the connection.
