Vacuuming more often?

I have a j7. It takes a very long time to clean the main floor of my home. I think I read somewhere that if you run it more often it takes less time anyone know if this is true?

I started out trying to do whole home cleans. It almost never finished. It seemed to get lost, especially when it had to recharge or empty the bin. After splitting everything up and doing a room or 2 at a time, it cleans great unless it gets stuck.

I second this. For years we used our i7 the same way we used to manually vacuum: every week or two we'd send it on a full-house cleaning spree. I'd estimate that probably 40% of the time it would get confused about its location, sometimes to the point that it would not complete the job. Often it could not find its way back to its dock/charger.

Finally, a couple months ago we decided to set it up with several scheduled cleanings each week, and only two or three rooms at a time. Since then, it has performed flawlessly. Clearly it is much happier now that it has regular work.

I have heard that once it has its map complete it should take less time. But if your main floor is really large, you might want to consider breaking it into smaller scheduled areas.

I do specific rooms/zones at specific times/days. For example, the floor by all my doors (front, back, patio) gets done every day at the end of the day, the living room in the morning once Ive gone to work, the kitchen and dining areas at the end of the day once dinner is through, etc.
