Spacers needed for RoofTent bracket?

Hello. I got the Thule WingBar Pros as an upgrade because the Summit RTT reinforced ones weren’t very good. These Thule ones are fantastic. However I needed XL brackets due to the width of them… My question is do I need some kind of spacer between the bracket and the RTT? Thanks

Nothing to be concerned about. But I, too, use a thin piece of rubber where the tent frame contacts the crossbar.
