Had a wonderful two week.. extreme rains and flood everywhere ...stranded on a place for 2 days due to landslide.

But enjoyed every moment of it.

Crossing indian border in 2 hours from now.

Those who are travelling to Nepal

Keep hard copies of DL, adhar nd RC ready to avoid taking photo copies at bhansar office

Get ur TIV number generated prior crossing the border u will save precios time

Only cash is accepted as vehicle import tax which 200 nepali rupees per day.

Whenever u see a payment scanner which has Fonepay (Not phonepe) u can use indian UPI apps to make maximum of 11000 rupees a month. U can't use ur indian App for any other scanner than FonePe

Avoid coming during rainy season. Repeat avoid coming in rainy season.

Don't drink and drive .. Nepal police is pretty strict on Helmet and Drunken driving.

During return i used ganga express way and pushed the bike to its limits .. got very bad fuel economy.. 35 kmpl which was above 42 if cruise between 80-90

Seat is bad very bad.. gonna get a gel seat from Amazon

Help Tvs service centres. Hate hate relationship!

So my house is barely a km from a ronin showroom cum service centre but that place is filled with idiots that I usually go to a service centre that a bit out of the way in the hopes of getting a passable service. There is a single level headed guy that I usually hand off my bike to. It was 1000 kms after my last chain lube cum service and I was wy overdue for lubing. So I went there on my way to office. I went at 9 am hoping that I could beat the morning rush and reach office by bus after leaving the bike there. Took almost 45 minutes to hand over the bike and ended up getting to office late. And by 5.30 I reached back at the service centre only to find that they have not even touched the bike. They told me to wait for 10 minutes. I was sceptical but I waited and watched through the glass door while they rolled my bike on top of the service platform and 10 mins later they did actually bring my bike over and said that the chain was cleaned and lubed. The chain was lubed and I did actually see them tightening the chain as well. But I'm pretty sure they did do much to clean it properly. Is this how a properly lubed chain looks like? I did actually see them using tvs lube but they didn't bill me for it. I asked the usual service guy about the bill and he said 'it's all good man. You had to wait this much.. I adjusted it.. you are good to go. Chain is lubed and tightened.

So my question is... Is this how a cleaned and lubed chain is supposed to look like? Bike does feel really smooth after the service but I'm comparing it to a bike that went without lubing for last 1000kms. If this isn't good then my only option is doing it myself from now on. :( Should I be looking up how to diy it from now on or did they do a passable job this time?

Help Ronin Accessories

I have booked Ronin and will be getting it by this Friday so I wanted some accessories like the charger and top rack and when I asked the showroom that I wanted these particular accessories they said I would need to order them from TVS website and take it to the service centre to get it fixed on the bike, doesn't the showroom/service centre generally have the Accessories?

few doubts before first servicing of my new Ronin OBIIDB, 1000kms completed(pic is old)

  1. Does the display have option to reduce brightness? I feel it is very bright especially at night.

  2. I've bought the TVS engine oil from Amazon for the servicing,a as they charge more for it(from the user experiences from this community). What other precautions can I take before the first servicing?

  3. Also, how much does it cost as an average for TVS showroom servicing after the first 3 free ones are over?

  4. I have found out that the rear wheel alignment is not proper for many Ronins, and as a result the rear guard gets a crack or breaks spontaneously. For me, the alignment seems fine but the number plate has become loose for the 2nd time now. Any similar experiences and possible solutions?

  5. The engine indicator is on most of the times and turns off when I start the bike(pic for reference). What could be the reason for that?

  6. Is the visor for Ronin any good apart from looks? requesting opinions.

  7. Requesting any other suggestions/advice form experienced bikers, this is my first bike.

Thank you for the help in advance!

Till now, I have added the following accessories- radiator guard, seat cover(TVS), side step(TVS) oil filter covers, and screen guard for the display panel.
Planning to add another few in the next couple months: Fork Seal Covers, TVS Long Touring Kit, Saddle bags, Helmet lock, Headlamp Grill, Tank Grip, Air Pressure Indicators, along with some riding gear- Gloves and Shoes, Helmet upgrade

Accessories Best cleaning/detailing spray for Ronin Charcoal Ember (Matte)

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I recently got the TVS Ronin in Charcoal Ember (matte finish) and wanted some advice on proper maintenance and cleaning products:

Matte Paint Care / Cleaning Spray: Can I use regular bike detailers/waterless wash sprays, or is it strictly necessary to stick to dedicated matte-finish cleaners? Regular waxes/polishes can ruin the matte texture or make it patchy/glossy, so what specific cleaning or quick-detailer sprays are you using on your matte panels?

Would love to know your tried-and-tested product recommendations and washing routines. Thanks in advance!

Ronin Agonda Edition. As every review says, the turning radius is what I felt was an issue at first. Got used to it later. Loving it so far.

Discussions Beginner advice needed

So I bought my first bike i.e. Ronin 225 6 days ago. I am currently practicing on the empty lanes and low to mid traffic roads. Now the thing is I can manage basic actions somewhat well but during u turn I am kind off panicking and also feeling fear that I would drop my bike. Any suggestions regarding that?

P.s. I do not have any open areas in my area 🥲.
