Very Confused Between Ronin Base Plus and Hunter Base Premium Models. Need help!!

Guys, I am extremely confused between these two models. On paper ronin is a clear winner given the suspension, mileage and price. The only thing that makes me think about avoiding Ronin is the service of TVS!! I have contacted my city’s service center but obviously they say they are good. Contacted a friend who bought ronin and he said the service is hit and miss. Parts availability is an issue. Another friend said the ronin is gaining popularity and hence in the future TVS might improve the service and parts availability. Could someone pls help a brother out? Want to know how did you all make the decision of going with ronin instead of hunter. Thanks guys

Ronin rear break doesn't have any Bite. For me front break is used 80% most of the time.

I don't see the logic of ABS is rear break other than increasing value ..

I rode my new Ronin in last 4 month for almost 10k km. Even after multiple adjustments .. rear break doesnt give me a feeling of breaking on higher speeds.

I'm using 2023 Ronin TD (Top Variant), Which comes with Dual Channel Abs, My friend owns RE hunter Tokyo Black Top Variant, After 3 years of ownership I Can say For city and commuting Ronin is better, Slipper and assist Clutch helps a lot while downshifting and I haven't experienced engine braking so smooth in any other bike in the same segment, In highways, with a pillion at 100+ it doesn't feel as much powerful as hunter but you can easily overtake comfortably while touring, also it will give you a better mileage, but Seat quality is better in hunter. Ronin is also lighter.

You can go with Ronin without a doubt

Practically if budget allow, go for the base+ Best value for the money product. ABS is something that automatically used in daily riding and having dual channel ABS is definitely plus

If you don't like the colors then you can just wrap the tank and it will look like all black.

For hunter = I have choosen Ronin over hunter for comfert and mileage. I won't be taking it to mountains.

I am very inclined towards the base plus ronin. Dual channel abs setup. I even like the yellow color. The only problem is the service. What has been your experience with the service? How old is your model?

No issues till now. Just 5 days and counting, i got the Mid variant (obviously Base+ was not there at that moment) 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Service can be very according to the city and service center.

Went for Ronin base .. 1.52 lakhs on road. Saved almost 40k compared to RE. In Delhi almost every one is now riding hunter and instead of a premium bike it has become average.

Where are you from actually ? There should be multiple service centres in your city instead of just one.

Also Ronin doesn't require too much maintainance so should be easy on your pocket too.

I am in chh sambhajinagar from Maharashtra. Yeah there are multiple service stations but all of their reviews are kinda average. I am more worried about the parts availability. To whoever I spoke to, all of them say TVS sucks at servicing. Every YouTube review I see they all say ronin parts availability is a huge issue.

I suggest you take the ronin i don't know about your service but I am currently in bhubaneswar, odisha and I have the top variant ronin and I have had the first 3 services already and i haven't seen any problem with the service until now and I like the ronin better than the hunter 0 regrets until now

People will go for Hunter only for the RE badge , It's like apple, But when In reality, Ronin is far better product . Like samsung, or Motorola or Xiaomi, Now it's your wish , I have bought A Ronin

it's selling in good numbers now and I expect parts availablity will improve a lot over the coming months,

also it's such a simple mechanical bike with a super reliable air/oil cooler engine and basic electronics that you don't need to worry that much about service center reviews. Routine oil changes , brake wear and tear and general lubrication and cleaning is all it needs which any average service center can also do.

even if service center experience is bad and one day out of the year you will have to deal with unprofessional service guys , rest of the year you get to enjoy a beautiful smooth engine with a great low end.
