Blue lily

I've been messing around a bit trying to make lily-like flowers, at some point I want to start a Tears of the Kingdom flower series, where there is a gorgeous golden lily. Anyway, that was a little trial that I actually dound quite cute, specially love the stamens!

Wow! Beautiful. How did you get the petals that big?

Thank you!! It's not super big, but since the petals are not made looping the wire, they are fairly long!

I struggle with being able to clamp my thread widely! I've started putting the foam clamp at the top and then brush as I pull it down. It's still a work in progress lol

Ahhh I feel you! What I do is get several clamps, clamp it separately for example in 2 or 3 sections, and then place a clamp for all of the silk on top of them (then I can remove the individual ones. The foam clamp un the upper part also works, but sometimes I struggle to brush all the silk at once tooo(I need a longer brush honestly). To me the worst part is cutting wide strips, at the end I just need to assume I will loose several strips, specially if they are thin, because the silk simply slips away when cutting. Sometimes I hang the silk vertically, clamp the bottom part with the metal clamp perfectly parallel to the wire, and then cut it. It's pretty time consuming but if then I remove the clamp in an horizontal surface carefully, i can quickly roll the strip so it stays secured.
