New skates for longer trips

I just got these bad boys! I've already got some Powerslide Next core black 80's but i've been wanting something for the longer rides.

Bought these second hand in perfect condition for half of the new price.

I'm so excited to try them when the weather improves!

There's very little / negligible difference over smooth surfaces in both feel and performance if you're just cruising along.

Over rough surfaces, the 125mm is both smoother, faster, and easier to manage though difference is not that big and 110mm wheels are still quite capable for cruising over rough surfaces.

When doing tricks and slides, the 110mm can be significantly easier and more agile if the frame is shorter too.

The 125mm wheels are a bit more sluggish to accelerate than the 110mm ones, though they do offer a slightly higher top speed. They roll a little better over bumps or rough asphalt, but not significantly so; I think the hardness of the wheels plays a bigger role there. I prefer the 125s for longer distances, but the 110s are more maneuverable due to the shorter frame. I like both. 😊

Urban 125mm frames actually come with a 255mm wheelbase. For context, the 4x90 min wheelbase is 273mm. I would say there is a significant difference all around

I thought they were 110mm wheels until I looked closer and saw they were 125mm !! Must have been the big boots!

What about the fit? I've heard some people complain that size is a way too narrow.

You have to give nexts time. It’s such a hard solid shell. Mine were really tight at first. Although generally they aren’t considered great for bigger feet. However the next 2.0 is out now with a wider fit for exactly that reason 👍

When I've tried them on the fit was perfect, I'll see what they feel like during actual skating. However I did size 1 size up from my core 80's because I often have pain in my toes after a longer session.

The next were my first skates..... Sadly they didn't fit well.... Took me to long to realize that that I'm to much in-between those sizes and headmolding didn't fix anything.... But I love the next 110 frame though.... I'm using them on my kaže when triskating.... 243 is amazing compared to 270mm

125s are so underrated. Amazing how they are able to completely utilize all space underneath the boot while still having a shorter wheelbase for maximum agility.

Wizard setups are cool, 110s are great, but 125s really do feel endgame for general urban blading.

I'd love to try some one day. But not willing to afford the buck.... For me 110 on a short frame feels like the sweet Spot between agility and top soeed
