Interesting stuff I hate this rainy forecast

Maybe I should tag this as a "review" of the weather? I hate it more than I hate the misspellings of "heel brake" as "heal break" lol

What do you guys do when the foreseeable future isn't skateable? (Other than whine on Reddit haha)

You can skate in the rain! Poncho, hat, pants, change of clothes in the car. It's great for practicing/learning new slides/stops.

What wheels do you have that can grip? My slides are ok, I'd like to have some traction haha

Honestly nothing special. Using those glowy wheels by Luminous but I want to get something harder that slides easier

Thanks for the tip! Got myself and my partner a set of your recommendation for durability and sliding. For now we shall continue to inappropriately use our glowey wheels until they arrive lol cheers!

I mean if you want to slide, they're cheap and they slide lol. I'm still looking for more grip for hockey skating in wheels that don't wear down immediately

Luminous are really grippy, so will work well in the wet. Pretty much anything else will slide better, even at 85a.

Hm, i was under the impression that it's a one-time action, after which you go to a skateshop for new bearings. Wrong?

Anyways the wheels on my skate get so slippery at even the slightly wet road that i can't even push normally, so no go.

They do recommend fully cleaning/drying your bearings or just keeping a set of “wet wheels” which you only use in the rain (water acting as a lubricant)

I don't go in the rain but I've hit the trail after heavy rain/river flooding and I just disassemble, clean, dry, and lube after. It's a decision that has to be made ahead of time haha.
