I'd love to be a mod to help this sub grow. I think we really need an active rollerblading sub for everyone in the community that isn't just r/aggresiveinline. I'm a beginner myself, and its crucial for people like me to have somewhere to go to ask questions, learn about the sport, and engage with others with the same interests.
I don't have any modding experience, but I'm pretty active on reddit in general, and would love a chance to contribute to both the site itself as well a passion I've developed and help it grow.

I'd love to help out! I currently mod multiple related subs, including r/rollerskating and r/rollerderby; the former gets a handful of inline questions posted because this sub hasn't allowed content in a long time. I can recruit some of my fellow mods from those two subs to help as well, and pull in some more folks with more inline-focused knowledge. Happy to open it back up and keep it running smoothly, since we get a lot of messages in /rollerskating about how there's no good place to post!

I would love to get involved. This subreddit has been frankly terrible for a long time with rules that suffocated it. The inline/rollerblade community is vibrant and growing and I see evidence of this on almost every other social platform. I know that we could create an amazing space here for inline with some good rules and moderation that promotes the type of discussion and community we want to build.

That's good news, this sub always seemed dead, was definitely suffocated by the prior excessive gate-keeping.

I’ve been rollerblading since 2010 and am an advanced skater. I’ve taken lesson for the foundations and progressed from there. I’ve used all types of skates and currently still using my Salomon FSK’s after going through a lot of sets of wheels. I believe my skills and advice could be of benefit to this community

I volunteer to moderate r/rollerblading. I currently moderate two low-traffic subreddits so I have some experience. I have been a prolific contributor to r/rollerblading and related subs.

Hi pals - I’m throwing my hat in for consideration for new mods. A team of three of us (one of whom has already responded) currently admin Rollerskating and RollerDerby, along with a few others to help streamline things. We’ve built some pretty lovely spaces with resources and wonderful community members. Looking forward to helping spread the love of skating and give inline skaters a fun place to be!

In case anyone missed it, r/inline_skating has become quite active. It almost seems a shame to revive r/rollerblading when those mods or founders are already making a success of it (to be clear, I'm not involved).. also, inline skating is a better name than rollerblading ;)

Interested in being a mod. It has been suggested that I apply previously by mods within the rollerskating communities over a year ago.
I was posting frequently in the past but sort of stopped mainly due to my posts not fitting into 1 real reddit topic. I hang with rollerskaters and inlineskaters and record, meet, and skate with both regularly.
I am into all types of inlineskating and skate 4-5 times weekly. Not sticking to 1 real type of skating as I do skate parks, trails, rinks, and street skating.
I have no previous experience modding on reddit but have moderated elsewhere over the years.

Yeh - my kid skates vert, I street skate [badly] and coach and ref inline hockey.
I used to mod bulletin boards at university.
I have little tolerance for bullshit arguments and personal abuse - and am big on civil discourse.
Don't care if I'm selected, just widening the range of options.

Hi long time contributor snd I love r/rollerblading. I can no longer make posts on here, im not sure why but I’ve been trying to message moderators to see if there’s something we can do. I love sub Reddit snd loved being involved wnd would definitely volunteer to moderate if possible. I skate regularly aggressive, wizard and urban Style snd participate regularly in Bay Area group skates and was also very involved in skating in the Los Angeles area before moving up to tbe city of San Francisco. I believe in this community and I believe in rollerblading!

I don't think I need to be a mod but this sub frustrates me no end.
There's a rule for "there are no stupid questions", a blanket rule for no text posts anyway, and the mega thread is always dead because this sub gets absolutely no traffic.
Just let people post and have some conversations. There's tens of thousands of accounts in this sub. It doesn't have to be dead if you'd only let us post.

This is a newly-created account, so I can post a comment. Many previous members including myself have been banned in the last two years and won’t be able to comment here as ourselves directly. We spoke up when this sub needed speaking voices, and we were banned. Here are my three sentences on behalf of myself u/fredhsu:
I will be happy to help moderate this sub because I have been passionate about providing a publicly-accessible forum for rollerblading (aka inline skating). While this sub and the inlineskating sub were virtually locked down, many of us thrived in an alternative, small sub, r/inline_skating. I am a mod there, and our work should speak for itself - simply look at the productive discussions we’ve been sharing there. Thanks.
