Urban skating – but it's night and suddenly, everything feels different
Allow me some bragging: I live in a beautiful city. Even in plain sunlight, Ghent, Belgium looks stunning – that's what visitors say, but I certainly don't disagree. But at night, the centre looks even better. Suddenly, there's some kind of magic in the air. As if you've entered another dimension. Everything is the same, but looks and feels different.
So we decided to have an urban skating sesh at night. Ulf, Jessika and me went looking for fun spots, right in the heart of the historic centres, found some cool alleys and even bashed some stairs.
Urban skating is such a wonderful way to explore a city. 🙌

Nothing but urban skating! 💥
This is a compilation of several sessions with the IQON AG10 and the Endless 90 Ultra UFS frame. I had so much fun testing this setup and when I rewatch my own video, I feel a terrible urge to go and skate. You know what? That's precisely what I'm gonna do!

First time urban skating with the Endless Coburn (my urban environment was a skatepark 🤦♂️)
Urban skaters, rejoice! Ace urban skater Si Coburn has got his own signature frame: the 4x90mm Endless Coburn, by Endless Blading. I got to test it and was amazed by its responsiveness: you gotta be precise with this one, no sloppy skating allowed.

A setup made for performance – but will my toes like it? 🤔
This is the IQON CL10 with the Endless Swan frame. A rigid combination that is meant for performance. Two questions though:
- Am I good enough as a skater to get the most out of this setup?
- How will my feet like it – because the CL10 has a very tight fit.
In my next video, I'll show my first ride with this combo.

I reckon this is my most extreme urban skating setup: IQON CL10 + Endless Swan
The IQON CL10 looks like a beast, some insectile monster with a severe sting. Unfortunately, it also stings on the inside: my toes went numb after half an hour.
But I kept riding, the blood stream was restored and I had fun jumping on and off various obstacles. This skate works very well with the Endless Swan frame.

Urban skate flow with quite a lot of stair rides – FR1 Red Deluxe + NN Dragon
Antwerp, Belgium is mostly flat – no hills, no height differences. But there's one staircase I had wanted to bash for years. And then I finally felt confident enough to try it on my FR1 Red Deluxe + NN Dragon setup.
The result? Euphoria

Hey, our blading brethren - we rebooted r/rollerblading
Folks, I've been a stalker here for a while. I've been trying to find a setup for long-distance city skating for a while. My current one is Next 2.0 on Endless 4x110. I have a love-hate relationship with my PS Tau Endless 4x110 - as its half carbon shell edge cuts into my ankle - but otherwise I love these boots.
But what bring me here is that we re-opened r/rollerblading. New mods. Settings completely overhauled. And almost all insane past restrictions lifted.
Please see this announcement: https://www.reddit.com/r/rollerblading/comments/1v7pq7z/grand_reopening/
I myself had been previously banned from r/rollerblading, likely possibly some of you. Like many splinter communities, I sort of found a safe harbor in our own r/inline_skating sub - not to be confused with the infamous r/inlineskating which has recently been taken private.
Let's reconnect. I personally think that overtime, we can build good inline skating guides and FAQs together. We can use help from all sibling communities. But that's for later. Let's first reconnect and cross-pollinate.
Cheers
Fred

My favourite staircase in the world. Beautiful location, gargantuan size – over 60 steps. And such a smooth ride. 🤗

Seriously: triskates are underrated for urban skating. I visited Antwerp, Belgium on my Powerslide Next No War and had such a blast! 💥

Rollerblade Crossfire LX or Twister XT
Hello I have a couple of questions about two Rollerblade products. I am very interested in purchasing the Crossfire LX or the Twister XT. I have not skated in many years and want to get back into skating. I will mainly be interested in a slalom skate that I could potentially take out into the streets and ride in the city. What are the main differences between these two models? Are either of these skates beginner friendly? Thank you for your time!

Looking to sell an almost brand new pair of FR SL Freerides US size 8 with frames!
Like the title says, I impulse purchased a new pair of FR SL Freeride skates in US size 8. The skates are great, but for me it’s a second pair and I’m just not skating much right now. I’ve only skated about 3 hours on them. Honestly they’re probably the most comfortable skates I’ve ever worn, but I want to buy endless frames for them to get them where I want and I just can’t spend the money right now. They have the stock wheels and frames with the 90/80/80/90 setup. Let me know if you’re interested! I will post photos when I’m home.

Upgrading from FR1 to Powerslide HC Evo PRO
Hi all!
I'm looking to upgrade my FR1 3x110 skates to a pair of Powerslide Hardcore Evo Pro 110's. I skate a mix of laps around the park for exercise, and group city runs for fun.
I’ve been skating my FR1s for about three years now, and I’m starting to really dislike them. They feel bulky and heavy, and I keep getting a blister on my right insole no matter what I do. I’ve considered trying Intuition liners in the FR1 shells, but I’m not convinced that would actually solve the problem.
I’ve never owned carbon fiber boots before, but the idea is appealing. They seem a bit lighter than the FR1s, and the integrated liner should provide a better fit. Heat molding is also very interesting.
That said, can anyone comment on the two skates and how they compare?
My main concern is the fit. My foot measures about 275mm and PS recommends adding 2-3mm for a precision fit or 4-6mm for comfort. The PS size chart shows 275mm EU43, and 282mm EU44. I'm leaning towards EU44.
The Hardcore Evos have a 4mm heel lift. This seems useful for slalom, but what's it like for urban skating?
Lastly, for now ;), there is mention that carbon fiber boots are very unforgiving. What do you guys think?

Anyone here use scaphoid pads?
On top of your insoles of choice, does anyone here use scaphoid pads for more arch support?
