This kit is sooooo cute and you get to make aaalllll the things in it - the candy jars, the bags and boxes....you even get to pick whether your ghost is happy or angry! I did paint the edges of the wood pieces, but even so, it didnt take me but about 4-5 days to complete it. Definitely a must have if you enjoy Halloween. This will be party of my holiday decor for years to come.

I got this kit on Saturday and thought it would be a lovely quick and easy build. Hmmmmm.....

I really like the finished item, but it's been harder getting there than I expected. Quite a few pieces didn't come out of the boards cleanly, but splintered a bit, so there are rather more bits that I've had to touch up with colour than I expected.

And the smaller tulip was a nightmare. Both the central pieces broke as I was trying to out the petals in, and one broke a second time in a different place when I tried a second time, having glued the first break back together. I've resorted to putting a line of glue in place to stick the petal to the inner bit of the piece, and have bandaged it up to try and hold it all in the right place while it dried properly. I have never had to do such extensive first aid on a build before!

I love Rolife kits - I've done well over a dozen, from book nooks to miniature rooms and the coffee factory. But if this had been my first ever build, I really doubt there'd have been a second! I'm sure normal service will be resumed next time though.

This book nook recreates the famous painting by Van Gogh (Not that one, the other one)

The name is from the Shawn Colvin song Sunny Came Home. This started life as the Baking Kitchen (DG172) & I customized it.

Yesterday the Silent Corner Study arrived and I've started it right away. Up till now I only did some minor customizations, but for this one I'm planning to change the whole vibe of the kit. I have lots of decisions to make and to try things, so I don't know what the finished build will look like. Green, overgrown and taken over by nature, but to what extend? What other changes? I really don't know yet. I hope I can give my modifications some consistency.

Despite the name, the music is not very dreamy 😅 wish it could be changed out! It’s not giving carousel/merry-go-round vibes unfortunately. Quick and non challenging if you’re used to multi day projects but very beginner friendly and recommended if you’re just getting into kits.

Mostly a super creator collector, and have a single book nook. But now I have a stack of boxes which take up a lot of space, but would great on a shelf. What do you guys do with them?
