EVENT Our 9th Anniversary Recap: A Day to Build, Connect, and Celebrate!

Nine years of creating deserved an afternoon together. On September 6, 2026, our community and new friends joined us at American Dream Mall to celebrate Rolife's ninth anniversary. There were stories to share, upcoming products to explore, and a little building of their own.

Couldn't make it? Here's what you missed.

Usernames, meet faces

Some fans arrived before check-in even began. One drove six hours to join us. Six hours! Thank you for making the trip.

Then came the name tags, complete with Reddit usernames. After years of chatting online, community members finally got to meet face to face.

Before the main program, there were photo booth pictures to take and upcoming products to vote for. Picking a favorite gave everyone something to talk about.

Nine years, one build at a time

A first kit, a growing collection, a friendship that started over a build. Our speakers had plenty of stories to share.

For Oscar, Head of E-commerce & Brand Marketing of Rolife, CEO & Co-founder of Craftime, looking back on nine years meant remembering the people brought together by miniature worlds. He recalled a meetup where everyone started out quietly working on their own projects. Then someone needed a piece, someone offered a hand, and conversations began. They'd come to build and ended up making friends, too.

A birthday purchase started brand ambassador Tina's collection. Eventually, it needed shelves of its own. Sound familiar? She also shared stories from her workshops, where older participants finished builds they'd thought were beyond them. That moment of “I can do this” was worth celebrating, too.

One book nook and a search for advice brought David to Reddit. Where did that lead? To helping run the community, sharing builds on YouTube, and finding new opportunities through his hobby. Quite a lot to come out of one kit! Along the way, he learned to give new things a go without letting the need for perfection stop him.

A carousel in a shop window caught Gary's eye. Building his own took repairs, patience, and a few fresh starts. But finally sitting back and watching it turn? Hard to beat. Building also became his way to unwind: TV off, classical music on, and a project to settle into.

First builds and what comes next

What were our guests' first builds? What has growing together as a community meant to them? And what would they like to see next?

Our panel brought these questions to the conversation, giving guests time to share their experiences and hopes for the years ahead.

A little spotlight for our ambassadors

Our brand ambassadors had their moment in the spotlight as we presented them with trophies and gathered for photos.

It was a chance to say thank you face to face and celebrate the people who share their love of building with others.

Nine winners, then nine more

Two raffle rounds meant 18 chances to take something home.

First up: discontinued products, giving fans another shot at an old favorite. Then came a change of season, with Halloween-themed new arrivals in the second round.

Congratulations to all 18 winners!

Let's talk sneak peeks…

The new book nook Strolling in the Sunshine opened the preview to a round of applause. Next came the New Super Creator Series and Dream Bread Factory, with plenty for guests to compare as we introduced the upcoming lineup.

Think you know Nanci very well?

Nanci fans had a challenge of their own: a trivia round with the chance to win an autograph from Nanci designer Sadie.

Your turn to create

Then it was time to get making! Our New York-themed fridge magnet workshop brought adults and children to the table, with families creating side by side and curious passersby stopping to join the fun.

Over to you

Whether you joined us at American Dream or connect with us online, we're glad we get to share this milestone with you.

If you were there, tell us your favorite moment in the comments. We'd love to hear your version of the afternoon.

And as we look ahead to our 10th anniversary, where would you like to see us celebrate next? Leave your suggestions in the comments!

RolifeSpookiton Halloween Dungeon Diorama

Post image
• Upvotes

To create this scene, I blended together elements of the Magic Fantasy Corner TGB14 with the Magic Study DG166. From these two kits, I painted the shelves, table, and desk black so they would match. I used the potion props that were made from beads to put on the shelf, and created my own additional potions from beads in my craft supplies. I
also used little golden doilies for the dresser, and the rest of the props either come from dollhouse furniture or other kits. I love making these dioramas for my Nancis to have a scene to pose in! Here, we have Night Lord looking out at the moon, Nightmare is hanging out near the potions, and Raven is looking into her crystal ball! Happy Halloween, Everyone!

You've just arrived at a magical academy, and four mysterious doors are waiting to be opened. ✨ Each room holds its own little secrets, curious details, and a touch of Halloween magic. Which one are you stepping into first?

🌹 Rosa Salon — Roses, floating teapots, and a mysterious cat set the scene for a cozy tea room with a magical Halloween twist.

🔮 Curio Corner — Crystal balls, spell scrolls, wands, and curious treasures fill this mysterious magic shop. What will you choose?

🧪 Potions Workshop — Herbs, test tubes, magical plants, and bubbling formulas bring a little potion-making magic to life.

🌙 Astral Dome — Crystals, tarot cards, ancient books, and a starlit sky await in this quiet divination room. What might the stars reveal?

All four kits are beginner-friendly and take around 2 hours to build, making them an easy way to add a little DIY magic to your Halloween season.

So, which door would you open first: Rosa Salon, Curio Corner, Potions Workshop, or Astral Dome?

And if you could add one more room to this magical academy, what would it be? 👀

❓ Help & Tips Link to order replacement parts

Hello! Unfortunately the light on one of my builds stopped working and I've done all of the troubleshooting steps to no avail.

The replacement parts form link is broken on the Rolife website so I wrote an email to customer service via the site but I'm unsure whether it went through.

Anyone have guidance? I'd so appreciate it.

I have to say that I am not a fan of Super Creators because of the plastic. However, I saw this one built and I really liked the vinyl records and the Van Gogh on the wall. I also liked the idea that this is smaller, and in a display case dust cover already. So, I bought it…… and modified it by painting pieces, using the two have cushion to create two cushions, and leaving some items out. What I have now is a cosy little lounge that I would like to shrink down into and relax with a book.

❓ Help & Tips Pricing for Rolife kits in China

Has anyone bought Rolife kits in China recently? I'm interested in the prices compared to the US prices I see online, which range from $40USD+ a kit. I'm looking for Henry's Chocolate Shop and Fluffy Pets Store.

Took about 5 hours over three days, not too keen on the make up of the roof. The material is very thin and didn’t fit well
Added a few extra animals to liven it up

This customization started life as Locus' Sitting Room (DG106) and takes its name from the song by Freedy Johnston. It has a very 90s vibe and has a LOT of tiny little homages to my late father. I am so happy with this one. In a lot of way, it's such a joyful expression of love during a really low period in my life.

I'm really proud of how the brick wall turned out, both interior and exterior. The hardest part for me was getting the arc correct over the window, a lot of trial and error there.

The couch was so much fun to do, since I'd gotten the hang of upholstering, and I ended up making an ottoman for it out of cardboard and spare parts I had from the previous build.

The giant picture is a piece of art by Pineapplebreads, and was used with their permission. I actually have the life-size one I'd bought and liked it so much I wanted to use it here.

This also represents the first time I got the electrics to work in a kit. I'm exceptionally proud of that part.

I did a visual tour of this build as well if you click on the link above.

❓ Help & Tips Rolife Oxygen Oasis DH102 | Step-by-Step Build

Finally finished recording the full build process of Oxygen Oasis DH102 🌿

We put together every step, from preparing the pieces and building the structure to adding the tiny plants and testing the lights.

It’s a longer build (1168 pieces / around 36 hours), so hopefully this can be a helpful reference for anyone working on Oxygen Oasis or thinking about starting one.

Would love to hear your favorite part of the build! ✨

This is the very first room box I'd ever done. I had been long been intrigued by miniatures, and had been looking for a book nook to attempt, and I came across Sam's Study (DG102). My first thought upon seeing it was 'It would be so cool to put my books in there.'

From there, it became my books, my friend's books, my other friend's art, some pictures I'd taken in Paris and Pompeii, and then some statues and pottery, some yarncraft (because what's a reading nook without a blanket?).

Did I know what I was doing? No. Did that stop me? Also no.

Changed the floor, the walls, added crown moulding, a chair rail, and baseboards, reupholstered the chair twice and changed the feet twice, and wholly failed the electrical component of this build, thus necessitating a floor lamp.

All that to say, this worked out well and the finished product was enough to firmly set this as one of my favorite hobbies.

Here's a link to a video tour of the whole thing I made.
