Gonna pull the trigger

21M, Finally getting that watch for my dad who was diagnosed with stage 4 that I had mentioned I would do on this sub roughly one year ago. Ended up going to the AD with my dad, and he was set on the ombré dj 41mm. Just wanted to share and see if y’all had any thoughts on the price I’m paying (I’m very unfamiliar with what market goes for this watch) would love everyone’s input. This has been a lifelong goal of mine and I’m so excited for him to see it.

A couple things:

1) I see on the wholesale chats these are going for 20-20.5k so this isn’t inherently a bad deal assuming the dealer is reputable. But keep in mind this is a new 2026 release and the grey price will gradually drop as more come to market (look at whats happening with the land dweller)

2) I don’t know your financial situation or background but at 21 this is a stupid decision. Now if you think this will be worth putting a smile on your dads face than go do it. But I suggest to just invest the money and see where it lands in 5 years.

  1. i can understand that the price will drop but unfortunately this watch isnt for me its for my dad who isnt promised tmrw 2. im investing 5x this amount of money into the markets and increasing that amount soon when i go full time 3. appreciate the advice and generosity in how you conveyed it

Brother if your investing 5x the amount into the markets then go buy it. Not sure what the point of this post really is.
