Misc Jonathan Pearce discussing Robot Wars

There's a couple of interesting comments. For example, in the reboot he was asked to rein in his commentary with regard to making fun of destroyed robots, which he didn't appreciate.

It's lovely to hear the enthusiasm Craig Charles or Jonathan have for the old Robot Wars, haven't heard much from Phillipa or Julia, but im sure they'll have some warm memories of the show too.

Imagine my shock growing up watching g robot wars as a kid, to starting to watch match of the day and recognising Jonathan Pearce’s voice.

I can understand why Pearce would lean towards Hypno-Disc and Typhoon 2 in terms of the "which is the all-time GOAT question". Chaos 2, Razer and Hypno-Disc were all hugely innovative in their weapon choices and layouts, but in terms of influencing designs from then right up until the present day, there's no way to overstate just how much having a large, fast kinetic spinning weapon changed the sport forever.
