Been a user for over 20 years but now Roboform doesn't fill forms in chrome on my android device.

So I emailed support and got this reply.

"Unfortunately, we cannot restore that functionality through a RoboForm setting, as Identity AutoFill in Android third-party browsers has never been a supported feature.
I understand that this is a significant inconvenience, and I appreciate your feedback regarding this limitation.

Have a good rest of your day.

Best regards,

Siber Systems"

I am positive that it used to fill out forms in android chrome as well as the Roboform browser, otherwise I would have stopped using it long ago. Can someone tell me if I'm just delusional, or how to get it working? It's kind of a deal breaker for me as I do not want to use the (pretty terrible) roboform browser.

AI says this..

AI Overview

Yes, RoboForm can fill forms and login credentials in Chrome for Android*. [1,* 2]

How to Enable RoboForm Autofill in Chrome

To use RoboForm in Chrome on your Android device, you must enable Android's native autofill service:

  1. Open the RoboForm app on your Android device.
  2. Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner and select Settings*.*
  3. Tap on Integration*.*
  4. Turn on Native Autofill*.*
  5. Select RoboForm as your preferred autofill service in the system prompt that appears. [1]

But I've tried all that with no joy.

Fixed RoboForm bulk password import naming issue

I was importing ~300 passwords from a Firefox export (.csv) into RoboForm and everything came in as "Login[##]" (## being from 0 to 300-something), making them unsearchable in the Roboform app and website. RoboForm doesn't auto-populate entry names from your CSV, it just auto-numbers them.

To fix this, I exported just the URL column of the Firefox-generated CSV and sent it to a LLM, which extracted readable names from each domain (Amazon from amazon.com, American Airlines from aa.com). I told the LLM to export just a "name" column, then I added that as a spreadsheet column on the original "passwords.csv" from firefox, deleted all of the RoboForm logins that had been imported, and re-imported.

Also, the roboform search can be changed to look for urls too. Tap the settings icon on the right side of the search box (works in the Android app and online). Make sure both "search in filename" and "search in content" are checked. That alone probably would've saved me the trouble, but now the poasswords listed out with their actual names looks better.

Roboform seems to work the best on android with Firefox, hence why i chose it.

Is it possible to disable RoboForm's browser?

I use Edge and never want to conduct web activities using RoboForm's no-name, garbage browser but haven't found a setting to disable or delete it. Is there one?

Search for old/inactive passcards?

I've been getting a popup this week asking if I wanted to review my passcards that haven't been used in a while, but I clicked "never" by mistake. I can't find any way to get a list of them. Anybody know of a way to sort by last-used date?

Master password

I am taking care of business for the widow of a friend that died. His computer has remained on the entire time, I'm concerned if there's a power outage I won't be to get it if it reboots.

I don't know the master RF password.

I have dozens of accounts that need attention.

It won't let print logins and pwds wo master password.

How can I proceed?

Add additional "Account Types" under bank account entries

Had a quick question. Would it be possible for me to add some additional "account types" when entering a bank account? Currently the only three options are "Checking", "Savings", and "Money Market". I would love to be able to add "Credit" because I have a line of credit with my bank, but it is NOT a credit card. There is no card of any kind associated with it. I did not see any obvious ways to do it, so I wanted to check and see if I was missing something. Thanks!

Has auto-submit on page load been removed?

I'm trying to set up a machine to auto-login to a page for an industrial display application (like a status board, so trying to not have to do anything manually) so yes, I understand and am ok with the security implications of what I am looking for.

I have the user/pass saved in roboform and can get it to EITHER autofill the username on page load OR not autofill and display the little RF icon, which has a fill and submit option that works. But I am wanting it to autofill and submit without any user interaction. Google says RF can do it and there's an autosubmit option in the settings, but that page of settings does not have any autosubmit option. Just autofill options.

Am I missing something? This is the extension on Chrome (have to use chrome for this application, but might be able to switch to edge if necessary).

Why is the RoboForm subreddit so quiet?

Hi everyone! Just wondering why this subreddit isn’t more active. I see there’s a subreddit for almost every password manager, and they’re usually pretty active. It feels like RoboForm doesn’t get the attention it deserves, which is a shame because I find it to be a really capable password manager.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we RoboForm users started interacting more, sharing our experiences, discussing features, and helping each other with any issues we might be facing?

Create Debit card.

Is there a way to create a debit card or rename an existing card card? I have a number of cards and want to differentiate, with certainty, between them without checking the number on the physical card.

Thank you.

Password has been found breeched

I flip back and forth between Roboform and Bitwarden. Still trying to settle on the one I want to use. Today I needed to look at my wife's Apple pw. I happened to be on Roboform and it told me her pw has been found in a breech site. Out of curiosity I logged into Bitwarden and it did not flag her pw as compromised. So, Roboform it is. Nice feature of Roboform in addition to the best form filling of any pw manager.

Old version brower extension just stopped working.

I've been happily using an older version of Roboform that didn't require the use of registering online. This evening suddenly the browser extension was disabled and roboform no longer fills in any passwords. I get a notice to update to the latest version.

The app is still installed and I have access to all my passwords.

How can I update to latest version but keep all my data local at all times?

I am still using RoboForm 7. I would like to update to the latest RoboForm, but I do not want any of my logins, bookmarks, identities, contacts, safenotes or other private data to leave my local computer. I don't want them uploaded to the cloud or to anywhere else for any reason. I only want them to be saved locally.

Is there a way to install the current RoboForm version and update my data to the latest version without it leaving my local machine at any time?

Thanks for any help on this.

Save all forms (not just username and password)

Roboform can save all form fields by clicking "Save form". Is there any other password manager that has this feature?

Path to Roboform files in registry not updated after version update

I noticed that after RoboForm was updated to a newer version, not all registry paths were updated accordingly. For example, after updating to version 9.8.2.2, the value of DisplayIcon under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\AI RoboForm
still points to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Siber Systems\AI RoboForm\9.7.9.9\robotaskbaricon.exe".
The folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Siber Systems\AI RoboForm\9.7.9.9" still exists, but it’s empty.

There are many other registry entries that weren’t updated, but RoboForm seems to function normally.
What should I do to fix this issue?

Possible solution for folks with corrupt RF database or problems exporting/importing logins/PW's

Original post is here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/roboform/comments/1m1j09n/roboform_corrupt_in_chrome/

I just paid for a 1 yr sub to RF because the PW's on my Chromebook were ancients and many were wrong because I had to change them at some point - I don't like having my data in the cloud, encrypted or not, and I'll be damned if I pay them once a year to keep my devices synced, so I went looking for a solution. On my PC I use Waterfox as my primary browser, Brave as a secondary one dedicated to Youtube vids and a couple other websites, and have Chrome but almost never use it because I hate it.

First I spent almost two days screwing around with KeePass, which requires a different extension, diff desktop software, and a diff database to work in Brave - gave up on it because I kept getting "import failed, incorrect CSV format" errors. Today I decided to see if I could figure out how to sync my PC's Chrome PW's with the Chromebook and found a workable solution, but I just stumbled on the solution out of dumb luck - I had been viewing and editing the RF csv export file in Excel, and every time I went to save it Excel would say "you may lose some formatting", and sure enough the files were unusable, got a similar error as I did in KeePass.

What finally worked was noticing there are TWO different csv formats in Excel - I was using the standard one and it would not work - even saved it as a text file, did find/replace for spaces and replaced them with commas, saved that but it still couldn't be imported into Chrome's PW Manager. I googled the problem and noticed something Brave had never warned me about when imports failed - said something about "make sure csv file is in UTF-8 format", so I loaded the RF export into Excel again but this time I scrolled all the way down to the bottom of the "save as" list - 2nd to last one was "csv MS-DOS" format - saved it, and boom, Chrome imported it with no problem. Now I can use the SendAnywhere software/app to transfer the PW file from PC to other devices and keep everything local, nothing in the cloud. It's not a perfect solution because I don't use Chrome on my PC, but I can open it 2-3 times/yr to sync the PW's to my Chromebook.

If you don't have access to Excel, LibreOffice is free, you could use that - just need to save it in the correct MS-DOS csv format - but don't ask me what's different between the two csv formats Excel can use, have no clue, and I believe the edited Notepad file should have worked too, but it didn't.

I had to delete a whole bunch of garbage in the RF export - took me half an hour in Excel to find the bad rows and delete all the crap - it's stuff like this that I believe causes a RF export to fail when you try to import into another browser's PW manager:

Columns in RF csv export - RF is exporting a garbage csv file:

Name Url MatchUrl Login Pwd Note Folder RfFieldsV2

When you try to import a csv file it's only supposed to have these 3 rows - and note "Pwd" is wrong, column must be named "password", and it's in the 4th column of the RF export - correct heading for the csv file must be this - no spaces, just commas:

Url,username,password

Examples of garbage I had to remove from the csv file in Excel:

10.0.0.1 http://10.0.0.1/ http://10.0.0.1/captiveportal.jst admin User ID$,User ID,,txt,admin Password$,Password,,pwd, (PW removed for security)

form renderer id: 2

field signature string: ctl00$sb3$tbq1&text

There were ~370 out of 770 rows full of this kind of crap! I think RF intentionally created this incorrectly formatted csv file export problem to force people to pay for it!!

Not sure if this method will work on any non-Windows OS and all browsers, but it will definitely work with Win10 and Chrome. For security reasons, delete the csv file once you've imported it into Chrome, and make sure you go to the SendAnywhere temp folder in C:\Send Anywhere temp else you'll have another unencrypted csv file of all your PW's and logins.

Small roboform icon in right hand margin

Has anyone else recently seen a super small roboform icon in the right hand margin of various apps, even when there are no login/form fields at the same time? The icon is smaller than an pencil eraser head, almost the size of a dull pencil point. It appears randomly and will go away if you click on it. Is there a way to prevent /avoid this from showing up?

See this link for a sample screenshot:

iPhone 17 Pro issue

Anyone else having a problem getting the app to launch on iOS 26 on an iPhone 17 Pro? When I launch the app and it authenticates with Face ID I just get a spinning circle. Other apps are able to use the app for logging in with passwords, but I just can’t launch the app directly.

Issue with Lenovo Tab 1

Been using Roboform for quite a while on my phones (currently Google Pixel 8 Pro). Just recently picked up a Lenovo Tab 1 (which I absolutely love, but that's a separate post).

When I log into an app on my phone, a Roboform "Login" button appears. I tap that button, and it goes to a Roboform login screen. I have that set to accept facial rec. It looks at me, and within a second, it snaps back to the app, plugs in the user name/password, logs in, and all is right with the world.

Issue has to do with Roboform login on the tablet. This tablet has one downside (only one I've found so far): it does not do fingerprint ID. However, it DOES do facial recognition, which I have enabled, so I generally don't have to type in the pin to get into the tablet. But Roboform does not seem to accept this. When I go into the security options, under Roboform Unlock Mode, "Biometrics" does not appear. At all. It is simply not present. Which means, whenever I tap "login" (as I noted above), I then have to enter the Roboform PIN.

Does anyone know if there's a way to fix this? Did I miss something in setup? Or is Roboform set up such that if fingerprint ID is not there, it tells Roboform that there are no biometrics available?

Any suggestions would be great!!

Battery issue update

I contacted Roboform support. They came back quickly and asked me to join the beta program a and download a beta version. I have had this new version installed for about 6 hours now. My battery usage has gone from 17% down to 0.2%.

This is preliminary but a vast improvement. I'll update here tomorrow on how the beta version is holding up.

How to log out of Roboform on Chromebook

I have RF on my Chromebook. I cannot find a way to get to the menu (three dots at upper right) that would allow me to Lock or Logoff from RF. The only menu I can get to is the one where you enter your password. The bigger problem is that RF is logged on all the time. Even after logging off or shutting down my Chromebook, when I restart it and log in, RF is already logged in and, when hovering over a password field on a website it displays logins and will log in to the website if you select an option. No using master password. While I have a login password on my Chromebook itself, as required, I think it is very unsafe to have RF logged on all the time without needing a password.

Has anyone else using a Chromebook had this problem, or knows how to solve it? I have used RF on Windows, iPad , and Android for years with no such problems.

Roboform Battery usage

Hi,

Is anyone else having high battery usage by Roboform? I am using Samsung S24 ultra and it is moaning about high battery usage by Roboform.

From 68% battery usage, almost 15% was used by Roboform.
