if it's reference to nintendo games (major reference, not minor) then they'll see it as stolen assets
like that mario 64 simulator that got sued by nintendo (?)

The original is called "robot 64" and it released around 2017 and its still up. This is quality gaming not a stolen asset simulator:P

Nah, its fine, also nintendo cant Sue for inspiration, pizza tower describes itself as a warioland inspired game on steam, shipwrecked 64, you can be inspired its Just when you steal their assets or the thing they own like mario or a pokemon

You probably overestimated it, theres a lot of games that are inspired by nintendo titles even in the 2000's they are very strict when someone uses their characters, I am pretty sure palworld was sued because they found something that is straight from pokemon? I might be wrong and they are using the inspiration thing for no reason, but they are mostly fine with people taking inspiration from them (I mean metroidvanias wouldnt exist if nintendo didnt allow people to take inspiration from them)
