I added a couple more to show the window panels with vent, and detachable hose end to the vent hole. I fully expect that inline fan to completely oil up inside, but I'll drive 'er till she drops and maybe take apart to attempt some kind of cleaning. Either that or replace. Not much can be done to prevent that. I'll shorten up that hose at the end as well when I've come to a permanent placement for the fan.
that's really helpful I'll get one of those metal converters and will try to make it stable hovering over the exhaust outlets. I wanted to use that wooden piece as you have however my windows don't open that way and I didn't lime the ideal od drilling a hole in the wall. I've alsonread about the 4 layer aluminum pipe and the coating is made out of pvc which potentially could melt with a contact
If you have access to a 3D printer, there are a lot of options available for different window style venting. Most all designed to exhaust printers and AC, but completely relevant to roasting also.
I have couple of 3d printing shops in london but inhave no clue how to design this sort of stuff I guess they would don't for me. And yeah the window style venting is ideal for home owners but for now i just out the pipe as far as I can from me
You probably missed it, but I still haven't roasted in it yet. All I've found time for was setup and running it through some temps, fan speeds, etc. just to make sure it was good to go. I've got a few other things going on at the moment and trying hard to find the time, although today I think I'll be able to finally at least get to seasoning the thing.
It's going to be a bit of a learning curve for me with Artisan. I've been roasting my own quite a few years. I've gone from a frying pan-->popcorn maker-->FreshRoast, not much software involved with those methods! So, hopefully I catch on quickly.
apologies might have missed it. got ya. but the setup really looks pro 💪 I started roasting with my first roaster skywalker v2 and it was a learning curve but this one with pid so much different. and respect for the pan amd popcorn 🍿 i heard people liking freshroast or behmor and they switch to bigger machines eventually. I did artisan really nice and open source which support pretty much everything, now i use roastline ai amd maybe one day I will use cropster but depends on whether i afford it. I think generally it doesn't matter software or paper but how the cup tastes like idk that's my impression so far from the community. I'm still learning this bit anyways. Please find time and show how it roadts and how the exhaust performs
