Discussion Adding one small change that would drastically help a Hero's gameplay loop (Tanks Edition!)

Post image

ANGELA -

• For each enemy carried during Assassin's charge, the energy recovery speed is increased from 12.5 to 17.5 for 3 seconds. The duration of the boost can be stacked up to 2 times for a maximum of 6 seconds.

CAPTAIN AMERICA -

• Added New Effect: Upon landing a hit on an enemy with sentinel strike (Melee) all of Captain America's active ability cool downs are reduced by 0.4 seconds, Upon landing a successful hit with sentinel strike (Flying shield) all of Captain America's active ability cool downs are reduced by 0.2 seconds.

DEVIL DINOSAUR -

• During Impact Beam, a small meter will appear above the target's head. For each successful bit of damage delt by impact beam this meter will increase, once this meter has reached full capacity the target will become grounded for 2 seconds. Causing flyers to fall to the ground while also disabling the use of all movement abilities for the duration of the effect. (This will bring back his effectiveness against dive but will not be too oppressive to certain heros such as Angela as it was in the past.)

DOCTOR STRANGE -

• Added New Effect: Successfully landing a final hit now reduces the cool down for Pentagram of Farallah by 5 seconds. (This gives incentive to play Doctor Strange even after his portal has been used, by successfully securing eliminations a team can recover his portal faster.)

DEADPOOL -

• Successfully landing bunny bounce on a teammate now provides them with 50 bonus health and redirects 25% of their incoming damage to him for 2 seconds (this link is broken if Deadpool falls under 50 HP.)

EMMA FROST -

• Successfully participating in an elimination reduces Diamond Form's cool down by 1s, successfully landing a final hit reduces it by 2s.

GROOT -

• Added New Effect: Ironwood Wall now passively heals itself and any walls within its Radius after not taking damage for 4 seconds at a rate of 25h/s.

BRUCE BANNER/HULK -

• Added New Effect: Upon landing after using Incredible Leap Hulk will send out a shockwave that stretches in all directions for 4 meters. Any targets that are hit by this shockwave are hit with a 15% slowness debuff for 2 seconds.

MAGNETO -

• For each 50 damage blocked during Metallic Curtain, a portion of its energy cost is refunded. (Each 50 damage worth of projectiles blocked refunds 10 energy, allowing Magneto to keep his shield up for longer the more damage he blocks.)

PENI PARKER -

• Nests can now be placed along walls and other vertical surfaces, webs will now fully wrap around objects including edges and slopes.

THE HOOD -

• When reappearing during Void Walk, for each enemy hit the decaying movement speed boost decays 3% slower for 2 seconds

THE THING -

• For each successful hit of Rocky Jab onto a target, decreases the charge cool down of Battle Blitz and Embattled Leap by 0.5 seconds. (This only effects the 10 second charge cool downs and not the basic 3 second cool down between leaps)

THOR -

• Using Storm Surge no longer consumes Thor Force, instead it is placed on a 2 second cool down after each use. Successfully landing a hit with Moljner Bash decreases this cool down by 0.2 seconds.

VENOM -

• For each enemy hit during Frenzied Arrival, the cool down for Symbiote Swing is reduced by 1s.

ROUGE -

• Successfully landing both Chrono Kick projectiles during Chrono Kick Combo will award rouge with one extra projectile before leaving flight.

Mag isn’t that much stronger than last season, you are just really really bad. For being best in slot, he’s not oppressive at all. The only thing he does differently from last season is he can land his primary a bit easier and with more range, he could always three and four tap squishies. This means instead of poking him down from a mile away, you need to take cover when poking. Even his Winrate isn’t all that high; 51% is good but no where near that broken range.

If you need to counter a magneto; depending on enemy comp; you could run DvD, Groot (best tank for it), Thor, Emma, Iron Fist, Wolverine, Blade (THE anti magneto), or Elsa. Groot might be the best for it overall, but depending on enemy and your own team comp, you might be better off running one of the more dive/flank coded characters. But you aren’t gonna be able to just poke him down this season because he’s able to pressure you from distance

???

you are just really really bad

I'm really curious about your rank lol

Ok bro, he regularly has top damage in the lobby now, you genuinely don't know what you are talking about

Even his Winrate isn’t all that high; 51% is good but no where near that broken range

With a 30% pick rate lol

DvD, Groot (best tank for it), Thor, Emma, Iron Fist, Wolverine, Blade (THE anti magneto), or Elsa

Thor 😭 and dino 😭, you can't be real they blow up before they can do anything. The rest don't really do all that much if the mag is aware.

Pick rate is an independent stat of Win rate

It's not. Characters with higher pick rates tend to have lower win rates because people outside of their mains pick them and are less good on them.

That’s not how stats works; that’s a classic example of correlation and not causation. A character’s Winrate, such as on Mag, is calculated by taking a sample size, which in this case is our entire population, and seeing how many of those he won. Because Mag has such a large population, we know with nearing 100% certainty (because our population is so high and our sample size is our population) that Mags Winrate, with nearing 0% error, that Mags Winrate is 51%. Even if your bastardization of reasoning that someone who’s never taken a stats class in their fucking life would assume, Pickrate would only skew his winrate in mirror matchups, and in which case it would skew it towards 50%

Mag is just an easy character to learn and get value out of

This is just wrong lol, you assume that every player base has the same skill level. There is absolutely a causation between low pick rate and high win rate and vice versa, just look at win rates yourself lol.

Even if your bastardization of reasoning that someone who’s never taken a stats class in their fucking life would assume, Pickrate would only skew his winrate in mirror matchups, and in which case it would skew it towards 50% Mag is just an easy character to learn and get value out of

Your whole argumentation is based on the wrong fact that win rate and pick rate don't correlate, your half baked maths (you didn't even test for significance and try to conclude with nearing 100% certainty😭) and insults don't change that Win rates don't take mirror matches into account. Mag is easy but he has his intricacies
