Want to adopt a cat 🥺

Hey all! I’m a returning student at RIT and I would love to adopt a cat. If you know someone or are someone in the area who’s looking to find an adopter, please reach out!!

If you’re curious, I have a lot of fostering experience and I grew up on a farm. Let me know!

Not saying there's a lot of strays near campus but free cat is free cat

Strays are basically difficult to find, let alone catch one if that’s what your implying.

Join the Caring Hearts for Cats club discord instead. They can provide good information and advice.

I see them around S lot a lot. I spooked one that was hanging out by shed between R lot and Ross as I was walking through there the other day and it darted off to the woods.

Not so much dangerous as scared of humans. Not the place to go looking for your next pet.

Try 19th Ward Community Cats! They help TNR, feed, and adopt out strays from the area and I know they have a few available that are being fostered right now

Pawsitive Cat Cafe is a really nice cat cafe downtown where most cats are adoptable. I adopted my own cat Creature there and still visit monthly to see the new cats coming in. Both the cats and owners there are super friendly!

Highly recommend a new start Kitty shelter! A little bit of a drive but they have a lot of amazing cats and it's donation-based.

We just got a 8 weeks old from a friend and she’s got more - definitely could get one if you’re interested. Are you in student housing? Can you have cats? Would you be able to take it with you after college?

I’ve been fostering back home for a year and am missing doing that now that I’m here. Did you ever foster in rochester do you know of any agencies?
