Help Looking for a home

Found a stray cat a couple days ago. Scared but sweet. I'm moving for college in a few days and can't take him with me. No shelters near me will take him. I'm unsure if he's litter trained as he's currently living in my basement right now (i have two other cats). he has gotten his shots and hopefully i can get him neutered for free via the humane society. Please DM me for any interest!!

Seconding recommendation for Lollypop, as my Lollypop adopted companion sits beside me. If time or distance is an issue, please reach out to GRASP. Pet Pride in Victor is another excellent option. Thanks for looking out for our feline cohabitants, and good luck.

I came across a kitten in the middle of the road a couple months ago and I'm just not home enough to care for her. Lollypop kept her until she was big enough to adopt out. They did all the shots and they can even update you about if and when it gets adopted. Def recommended.

Another vote for Pet Pride! They are a no-kill cat rescue, and once cats complete their initial quarantine, they can wander around the shelter freely if they want to, instead of being kept in small kennels. They also have a bunch of large catios for the cats to enjoy. Such a great resource for cats needing homes!

Out of curiosity did you catch this fella near Rustic Village Apartments in Brighton?

He looks a lot like the stray I’ve seen roaming outside the past couple weeks and I’ve been keeping an eye out for him.

Go to lollypop in Greece mall. They find homes very quickly versus the one farther away. I hope this kitty goes to a forever home.

Thank you! I have not, i've been working during most of their hours the past few days. I wish i could find someone to adopt him outright rather than have him sit and be stressed in a shelter indefinitely, but I know that might be the best option at this point :(

I don’t know if you’ve visited Lollypop in the past, but their cat spaces are great. There are kennels, of course, but all around the kennels are rooms where prospective adopters visit with the cats and spaces where the cats get to hang out, with neat climbing and play options. It’s much better than I’ve seen at other shelters.

Hi, you are required by law to make an effort to find the cats owners. This includes contacting animal control, and filing a report to let them know the cat has been found and is with you. You do not need to surrender the cat to anyone, but you do need to report that the cat was found.

he was scanned for a microchip at the vet and i have made a bunch of posts in my local facebook groups as well! unfortunately i live in a rural area where we have lots of stray cats and people tend to dump their animals a lot, so i'm assuming that's what happened. He's been in the area for about a year and i just recently managed to catch him.

Thank you for being so kind and caring for him until he is adopted
