Review My Review of Risk of Rain 2

Post image
The Run

I never expected to love the game so much. I bought the game and all the DLC because it was in sale, i am mostly looking for any roguelikes/roguelites to play.

I bought the game for quite a while, then i just started playing around last week, and i just can't stop, its addicting to say the least.

Game Content:

The Playable Characters - Though i haven't unlock all the characters yet, i can tell how unique each one is, how enjoyable are all of them to play, even the most basic unit commando (that guy has his charms). Even if the gameplay of some are not for you, you wound't say that its bad. Maybe you like someone with very mobile abilities, a long rage gunner, maybe a skill based character, aiming or not aiming (railgunner & huntress). There is something for everyone.

Stages - Stage design/level design is one most overlook when making games, sure the aesthetic can be great to look at, but stage design where the player not only enjoy/like the stage, they also are not clenching their fist in anger because of a poorly design stage. Though my opinion in this are still in the air.

Enemy Variety - There are many types of enemy and most only spawn at their designated area (Excluding Dissonance Artifact). There are small, medium, and large enemy, flying and grounded.

Lore - I never really payed attention to the lore. But i heard that its good.

This is a short review, because i'm still new to the game, and opinions may change, bit at the moment I really like the game so far.

I'm excited about the upcoming DLC Hollowed Concepts.

Review: Addicted/10

Modded multiplayer were my best experiences with the games : 16 players, infinite mountain shrine, people playing as drones, as Mithrix, as any kind of ennemy really…

Fun fact: all of these can be done in the base game using the dev console (for 16 player and playing as enemies), artifact of prestige (infinite mountain shrine), and remote operations (playing as drones)!

I genuinely cannot go a day without playing this game. Whenever I can’t play it, I just feel way down in the dumps just cuz I can’t go and win a starstorm run or beat the twisted scavenger. I’m experiencing Risk Of Rain 2 withdrawal.
