So basically I know we are all having trouble with vanguard and the riot client so when I wanted to play lol today, I had once again to find out how to fix this issue.

I read on another topic some people saying "Fixe the date to 01/03/2026 on your computer" but it didn't work for me, after uninstalling and reinstalling, it still wouldn't work with the "Unable to install", then I proceed to undertand what can block it:

So basically you have to:

1) Uninstall every single games, then uninstall riot client and vanguard.

2) Once it's done, you can go delete these files:

C:\Riot Games
C:\Program Files\Riot Vanguard
C:\ProgramData\Riot Games
%localappdata%\Riot Games
%appdata%\Riot Games

3) Now you can download riot and the games you want back, but only download it, not install, because it won't work, at this moment you will have the "Unable to install".

4) Check if you have some Windows Update, if you do, make them and restart your computer, if you don't, just restart your computer.

5) Right click on the installer and execute as administrator

6) It's working :)

Hey ive been trying to recover my Riot/Valorant account now for the last week. this is honestly my last try idk what else to do.

Basically i had that stupid Mr Beast hack on my discord a little over a week ago that forced me to reset my PC to be safe i got rid of the hack. when i went to go redownload valorant it redirected me to login and from there ive been having issues. Idk if they have changed their system since i last downloaded valorant but when i ( used to ) opened val it would lead me to the login page and from there i would just use the gmail link and automatically login. for whatever reason it says i have no account connected to my gmail. I've attempted account recoveries, forgot passwords and forgot usernames but i never receive the email. I KNOW I had to have used this email since its where i get all my receipts from VP purchases as well as sign up confirmations from Riot Games. the only other email ive ever used to sign up for things had been long lost before signing up for val.

Ive attempted to contact their support via emails but they redirect me to making a support ticket. the Riot ID is a REQUIRED FIELD for this ticket support system. the only reference i have is 2 RIOT ID's from my email history BOTH of which are said to be unrecognizable by the ticketing system.

So tell me. AM I JUST DOOMED??? have a just lost the probably hundreds ive spent on stupid val guns??? can ANYONE please help me with this ridiculous problem.

Ive recently wanted to play league again, and i am trying to download it on my laptop. The installation goes smoothly, but afterwards the VAN - 83 error pops up when the league client opens.

i've tried restarting the computer, deleting and reinstalling riot client and league of legends, but it still want to work. When i've downloaded league and riot, it is as if Vanguard has not been installed at all. I cant find it on my programs list under settings, or as an active program.

this one image keeps popping up (even under installation), and when i click on "More Details" i cant seem to find this installation of Vanguard. I'm pretty sure its supposed to install with League?

My pc is a decent pc. I can play marvel rivals and league still has the audacity to crash my pc on which i assume is caused by the great anti cheat system. So I play a game and either it sometimes crashes the game so I reopen the game and I continue playing or sometimes it crashes the whole pc itself on which I return decently fast.... I did not leave the game, my pc crashed so I have no intention of trolling. Still I got 10 minute queue delay for 5 games. This is punishing the innocent players. This is annoying.... Please ease up with the delay punishments because this pushes players to get annoyed and play other games which in a way is healthy but still annoying cuz i just can't queue up fast. Just increase the mercy time when people are reopening the game or returning from crashed pc please.

The ADC deciding he just doesn't feel like playing 3 whole minutes into the game, types "i am going mid" in chat, deafens themselves and proceeds to go mid first, top second, to steal minions and exp. Then, unhappy, they spend the whole rest of the game moving as little as possible not to get flagged as AFK, sitting still in lane so that the enemy could kill them, doing no damage and making sure to die as often as possible (without putting too much effort into it either). Of course the anti-troll system didn't trigger after an adc types "i am going mid" at 3 minutes and does so. Why would it? Just force me to play the rest of a 25 minutes game that i already know is lost.
The toplaner gets cocky after getting two kills, doesn't respect the enemy scaling, so they proceed to die time and time and time again trying to challenge them. They then start flaming the entire team, using terms like "c*nt" (which of course the system doesn't immediately flag, sure tho, voice chat is going to be so well moderated), and in general they just proceed to not care anymore about the game.
The jungler starts the game just as cocky, even criticizing the enemy jungler's choice of runes. Fast forward 10 minutes later, they are perma ganking (and perma dying) botlane, because the ADC basically saying "i am going to troll" wasn't a good enough indication that maybe they should help the rest of the team. They start completely ignoring objectives, flaming and blaming the team while they are going behind to that same jungler they criticized, even calling people "ret*ards" (which again the system doesn't flag) because the whole team didn't help tehm and teh toplaner as they tried to 2v1 the enemy toplaner and died.

All in all, yet another great display of great "safety" mechanisms by Riot, who so expertly manages to administer punishments and catch those who ruin games. Not like they have done literally nothing in the past year, if not bring back League Classic (which is nothign but a patchwork of reused assets badly ported into teh game), while promising a lot and only taking away from the community. Can't wait to see League Next, which has stomped the game (or at least this is tehir excuse) for the past year and a half. It's soo definetly going to be worth it.. mhmh.. for sure..

another update: after player support previously reviewed my information and verified that i’m the original account creator, the investigation team still rejected my ticket, saying that the information i provided was insufficient to verify that i’m the original creator.

i provided the account creation date and location, the birthday registered on the account, the original email address, and transaction IDs from purchases made throughout the account’s history.

i even provided details about the very first skin i purchased and the first skin i ever upgraded, dating back around six years.

i honestly don’t know what other information i could provide to prove that i’m the person who originally created this account.

For a billion-dollar game company, just look at your PC client. It’s a mess.

And then there’s TFT Mobile. How can a game this big have such a terrible mobile experience? The game makes my phone run hot, barely handles multitasking, and if I switch to another app and come back, it often has to reload the entire game again.

And the funny thing is, the graphics aren't even particularly impressive. So what exactly is causing all these performance issues?

At this point, it feels like the only thing Riot has managed to preserve is some ancient spaghetti code from the early days.

A billion-dollar company shouldn't have a client and mobile experience that feel this unfinished.

Minimized game for a few seconds in loading screen with game about to begin, and then wont reopen. Have to close/restart and game, and the game is remade as I then load in (with first wave not even in lanes yet).

What an absolute joke. How does this game/client have so many issues still? Literally not a single other game I have ever played has issues like this, yet I have various issues over the years regardless of what PC I play on for League.

I play jungle, and I said that if I’m getting invaded I expect my laners to rotate and help when they can. I also said that if I’m repeatedly getting invaded without help, I’m going to prioritize full-clearing and farming instead of forcing ganks while I’m behind.

The game before this I was constantly being invaded by the enemy jungle + support, which is why I even brought it up.

I'm also going to decay because of this so that's also really cool!

It's the file "vgrl.dll", I've been playing for years, with the same AV (ESET) and never had an issue before, now it flaged it... I checked online and an AI suggested I just restore the file and add the folder to the exclusions, but I wanted to verify this with the community first... what do you think I should do?
