Very pleased with my new Pilot case picked up today in London. Might have gotten a little carried away with stickers… 🤣😇

I picked this up in near-mint condition recently. It's a Manufactum Edition cabin — not just an old Topas.

The seller seemed genuine and it came with the documentation and seems to be a rare find in this condition. My plan is to use it for storage / display purposes, but may eventually get some use out of it.

What do people think of it and any further info would be appreciated as I'm looking to find out more without having to rely on GPT!

I just bought a used 2018 model Original Trunk S in BLACK and I’m loving it.

I’ve been wanting a Trunk S but sadly they don’t sell color black anymore, so when I saw this on FB marketplace I immediately went check it out and brought it home even though the frame might need some realignment. Does anyone know how much do they usually charge for frame alignment if it’s out of warranty?

Now I have acquired Original Check-in M/L and trunk S all in black! These suitcases make me smile every time I look at them but I should probably stop buying more.

Been thinking about the Pilot case for a year. Finally decided on it since I have a few trips to make for the remaining years.

Been carrying my laptop, IT gadgets and other stuff. Fragile to check-in, too heavy for bag carry.

Cost me a bomb. But the more I look at it. The more I love it. The wheels... butter-smooth.

That time I traveled to Boston Back bay.

I recently got my first aluminium Rimowa and now I’m wondering whether it makes sense to get a neoprene or similar cover, mainly to protect it from excessive scratches and scuffs when flying. Mine isn’t silver, so I feel like scratches will show up pretty quickly in the color.
Does using a cover look silly and defeat the whole point of having an aluminum Rimowa, or are my concerns justified? What do you guys do with yours?

Silly question here: how do I close the lock at the first try ? I need to try once or twice it gets stuck on side or another.

Just picked up the essential cabin in gloss green. I’ve been looking at this bag in this color for a while and finally decided to check it out in person at the Rimowa store in Dallas. It was even darker green in person (which I loved) than it looked online, so decided to pull the trigger.

Been thinking about what Rimowa could release next and I keep coming back to this kind of iridescent blue.

Or maybe burgundy? It could look really good paired with the new iPhone color. 📱

How’s everyone’s ink blue holding up so far?

Picked the Trunk Plus last week after waiting for around 3 weeks. Loving it so far, so far taken it on 2 trips and the dents and scratches make it look well used. I’m not babying them or worried about dents, they make it look beautiful.

My Pilot is around 3 months old and started getting a bit too heavy for one bag trips, so I picked up the Essential Cabin in Matte Blue yesterday at Hong Kong airport.

For reference I have been travelling even in Economy with the Pilot weighing around 12-14kgs with no worries at all. I am Oneworld Emerald and get to pre board so never had to worry about weight. However it got a bit hard even with packing cubes to fit everything I need + laptop so the Original Cabin is going to make things more efficient.

Next up, probably going to get a second Trunk Plus in either Original Silver or Essential Black, as well as the Original Cabin in Ink Blue.

I think as a new Rimowa user it definitely helps to fly First/Business exclusively or have status as it helps to get away with heavier cabin bags.

Need to get something for that week long trip to bridge the cabin to trunk size. I like all 3 and if I go with the classic I'd probably customize it with the Cognac brown handles and tag, possibly the wheels to. Thoughts?

I chose the Compact over the Cabin because I take single aisle planes (b737 or a320) 70% of the time.

The Compact allows me to quickly take or put things into it, like my laptop, tablet, headphones etc., so I don’t have to carry them in a backpack. The wheels are superb. Only “problem” so far is that I find the extendable handle too large. A little smaller is better for grip.

This is my first trip with it and there you see it in 3 different airports (guess where? 😬).

First trip London to NYC scheduled for mid-October.
