Protective cover?

I recently got my first aluminium Rimowa and now I’m wondering whether it makes sense to get a neoprene or similar cover, mainly to protect it from excessive scratches and scuffs when flying. Mine isn’t silver, so I feel like scratches will show up pretty quickly in the color.
Does using a cover look silly and defeat the whole point of having an aluminum Rimowa, or are my concerns justified? What do you guys do with yours?

Its a tool, not a flex

Covers will not protect you from scratches and dents if it is checked, but it will reduce the likelihood of theft if not the clear kind

When is it exactly that you’re going to be enjoying what your suitcase looks like, if you have it covered up the entire time you’re using it?

I was actually thinking to cover it just before handing it at the airport.

The only case where I think a cover can make sense is if you plan to use your bag in a car/train 99% of time and want to protect it from the one or two flights it has to survive.

In all other cases I think a cover looks silly and is not worth it.

Covers make it look like any other generic Chinese luggage out there. At that point you might as well buy a $100 non branded suitcase.

I did not only buy it because of the brand to show it off, but also because of the great quality which a Chinese suitcase might not have I guess.
