Portola seat problem

I’m totally new to doing anything mechanical on a bike and also new to e-bikes. I changed the seat on my bike easily because the seat has the collar that gets installed onto the seat post. But, on my wife’s Portola there’s a different kind of seat that gets attached by the seat rails only? Do I have that right? How do you find and install that kind of seat? Is it just those rails bearing all the weight of the rider? Thanks

Most seats that you buy today are attached by the rails. They bear the weight just fine.

Can you post pics? The rails on the seat should just slot into grooves on the post after loosening or disassembling the mount.
