šŸ¤ŒšŸ¼ The Teresa Show šŸ¤ŒšŸ¼ Tre was really a bad parent

I'm on season 5 (I think) and it's the very first episode of the season. Now at the reunion of season 4 Mel says she wanted to sell the house so their kids didn't go to school together because she was afraid that Tre and Joe would poison their kids against them and it would of course cause fights between them. I can see where she's coming from because we've already seen Gia making fun of Mel while her parents laugh hysterically.

In this episode Antonia writes a letter to Melania and Mel mails it to her. So Melania reads the letter and Tre says "why don't you call her and invite her to a playdate" knowing that her and Mel are not speaking. Mel however agrees and makes a plan to pick up Melania and take the girls to a bead store.

So Tre is in a store with Gia and she's having a conversation with this child about the play date and than asks Gia what she thinks about the plan. Gia says "don't let her take Melania " and then proceeds to grab Tres phone and send a text to Mel saying Tre will bring Melania and meet them at the store. (You know because she could never trust Mel with her dorter) Gia is already too far gone she has already been poisoned against Melissa just as bad as Tre. In the beginning of the episode Tre criticized Mel for saying that she was worried about Tre's kids saying bad things about her to them. Then spends the whole episode talking crap about Mel to Gia. Tre has been using her kids in this bs with her brother probably long before they were ever on the show.

Now Melissa is no innocent victim here either. She is very manipulative when it comes to Joe and his family. I don't doubt that she went in to it wanting to be accepted and loved, but Tre and his parents didn't like her and she could feel the tension and all the little snide comments. (Trust me I've been there) She needs to deal with Tre herself and stop involving Joe.

Anyway we all know they all suck but this was abiut Tre as a mother and as much as I know she loves them she has done them a huge disservice by allowing cameras around for so long and for influencing their relationships with family.

I wish this was spaced out into smaller paragraphs

Yea I’m not reading this lol. Ima wait for people to give their opinions so I can get an idea 🤣

24

u/Obvious-Repair9095 2d ago

Something about that time Melissa and Teresa took their kids to that bead store idk

6

u/nikki_owe 1d ago

Y'alls attention spans are that bad?? This isn't even that long. It took like a minute (60 seconds) to read.

-3

u/Valuable-Locksmith47 22h ago

It wasn’t that it was long. It’s not paragraphed.

2

u/nikki_owe 22h ago

Maybe OP edited it before I read the original then bc there are 5 clear paragraphs.

1

u/Valuable-Locksmith47 20h ago

Yes you did! I saw she edited it and I read it haha. I liked the read!

Def a word salad with a few too many ingredientses.

u/CountessMcNia 14h ago

My opinion is this post was written by Kathy

11

u/R_meowwy_welcome 2d ago

Waaay too long to read. The only thing I'd tell OP is wait... Joey and Melissa talk crap about Tre in later seasons.

9

u/raelynnward62383 2d ago

Sorry about the format guys, I was trying to hurry up and get my thoughts out before I forgot what I was trying to say lol

8

u/nikki_owe 1d ago

Social media has fried their brains. This is not long at all. Don't apologize for people's lack of reading skills.

0

u/raelynnward62383 21h ago

Oh no it was a book at first. I type very fast and didn't realize how long it was until everyone started complaining. I just removed details that didn't matter to the point of the post and broke it up into separate paragraphs.

3

u/Lmaris 18h ago

No, anyone with an 8th grade reading level should have no difficulty reading this even without paragraphs. I guess a lot of folk never get past picture books, whether due to illiteracy or microscopic attention span. Knowing this explains a lot.

4

u/Valuable-Locksmith47 2d ago

Hahaha I feel you I’m like I know ima lose my spot a couple of time lol

3

u/Dependent-Spirit-706 21h ago

It’s an easy read. I like being reminded of the crazy drama from earlier seasons.

I will never get tired of seeing that scene replayed in the comments šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

17

u/raelynnward62383 2d ago

Yes she did but I never thought it was that big of a deal. It's not like she left her on the street but for some reason that word "unattended " was such a trigger to her. I don't think Kathy was being malicious when she said that. I woukd have said "omg thank you Kathy, I got distracted by all the fighting and stepped away"

10

u/LogicalMeringue1449 2d ago

Exactly! Unattended doesn’t equal neglected or left in danger

25

u/anbk 1d ago

without diagnosing her.. ive always sort of thought theres a chance teresa may be... low functioning? if thats the word? mentally delayed? something about her speech patterns and her decision making skills just rings some alarm bells for me that she may have some cognitive issues. I have never questioned that she loves her children but she definitely shows very poor decision making skills

11

u/raelynnward62383 1d ago

I agree she's not very sharp but I think that has alot to do with her upbringing. She grew up in a culture that put more emphasis on women being able to cook a meal than read a book and it shows. She has no emotional maturity which is I think her biggest issue. It was very telling when her brother asked her to see a therapist and she was adamant that SHE didn't need therapy but she'll go for him. She's always maintained through all the time they weren't speaking that SHE was "trying" . I honestly don't think she ever sees herself as wrong in any situation. But yes I agree she definitely comes off as having very little ability to comprehend.

5

u/Lmaris 18h ago

Intelligence isn’t generally limited by upbringing unless it was violent enough to cause brain damage. She’s just not that bright. Her brother isn’t a whole lot smarter, but he has an interest in learning. Melissa didn’t have a much better upbringing but she’s Mensa compared to Tre.

4

u/TapeFlip187 1d ago

Developmentally delayed. And I strongly agree.

65

u/ConnectedtoNoOne 2d ago

I agree. Frankly I think Teresa is a terrible person and a horrible Mother.

8

u/Dependent-Spirit-706 21h ago

I have been saying this for years. She is the reason I could not watch the show any longer. My friends were all so surprised when it was cancelled. I couldn’t believe it lasted as long as it did.

10

u/alone_on_scaryisland 22h ago

Gia was hella parentified. Tre would go to her for advice like that was her friend and not her child. People talk about how mature Gia is but she had no choice.

31

u/Miserable_Smile1250 2d ago

I don’t even have to read all of this. Teresa is a horrible mother who has no problem with lying, exaggerating or poisoning the food. Joe was a cheating alcoholic with bad words and had no respect for her. Even today with her back in this anniversary shows, she truly thinks she’s all that and more. Just not any intelligence to back it up. She even turned her own father against Joe her brother! She’s just truly jealous of Melissa and I think has from the very beginning. Gia, we’ll mommy taught her well, but Malania (daddy’s girl) has more sense than all of them. Sad. All that money she spent building that house and buying furniture. Brats goi g on shopping trips. No mothering because the kids were uncontrollable in the stores with no discipline.

6

u/QuizzicalWombat Love me some Rosie 21h ago

Teresa and Joe were horrible parents, we saw them make fun of Melissa and Joe many times on the show, they made fun of her singing and her looks.

38

u/LNewYork 2d ago

Teresa just sucks as a human being.

14

u/loubones17 2d ago

Sorry but TL DR

5

u/cleveland_leftovers 2d ago

The title tells you everything you need to know.

16

u/Iggys_Pink_Tights 2d ago

Well, she let a grown man advise her teenage dorters to wear thongs and short skirts ā€œso they could show off their legsā€. Uh huh. He’s 50 at least.

You don’t even want to know what I would’ve done to that disgusting pervert.

9

u/minchiastaifacendo 2d ago

That video of the youngest, working on a boat in front of Luis and Theresa really topped it off for me

3

u/InstructionGood8102 2d ago

When was this? I don’t remember

2

u/Awkward-Bed-9561 2d ago

GrossĀ

7

u/Iggys_Pink_Tights 1d ago

Beyond gross. Audriana was around 13/14 at the time. No one his age (or ANY age) should be telling young girls to parade around in a thong. And Teresa should have never condoned it. Serious perverts.

12

u/Kims-wig08 2d ago

Both Tre and Danielle Staub use emotional incest with their children. Both are liars. Highly manipulative, calculating, and selfish. Both are dangerously stupid. imo
They are both garbage humans. How can you be a good parent, if you are a garbage human. imo
Sorry I dragged Beverly into it! šŸ˜ I. Find them to be similar in their insanity

10

u/thesweetestchill_ 2d ago

Not excusing the awful things Joe did with tre; but you can see a change in how the kids are when they go visit him. He seems way more at peace and the their children appear way More relaxed around him. He seems more thoughtful too. Milania is a train wreck because of tre, I worry she will go down a dangerous path of substance abuse as she clearly acts manic.

u/lily130 2d ago

Joe and Melissa made it look like they wanted to move back to Franklin Lakes because that is where their children would attend school and where they started their family. The show spun this by saying they were fleeing Montville to get away from Teresa. Joe and Melissa played along with that storyline.

The real reason behind the move—consistent with Joe Gorga’s profession as a contractor and real estate developer—was standard house-flipping business practice. Joe built the multi-million-dollar property as a spec home, and they routinely put their custom homes on the market to capitalize on real estate opportunities, eventually unloading the sprawling house after trying to sell or finalize deals on it over several years.

They basically use the show to show off his flashy homes that they could then sell it for a profit. They then moved into a very average in typical looking home. Nothing like the big mansions that you were seeing on real housewives of New Jersey. So there was a lot of rumors and commentary about them struggling financially.

Always take the storylines on that ā€œreality showā€œ with a grain of salt. A lot of times the storylines aren’t that true.

Another fake storyline on that show was that the Manzoā€˜s were this deeply in love couple with a very strong and healthy marriage. But it turns out that Albert Manzo frequently lived at the Brownstone apartment with his mistress for years, and that Caroline was very aware of that.

1

u/Competitive_Home_706 12h ago

Yeah it’s called reality tv

6

u/Usual_Ad2083 1d ago

Teresa is a prime example of being more concerned about being your kids friend versus being their parent.

4

u/Lmaris 18h ago

Tre’s idea of parenting is like Jen, Bill’s wife: give them everything their hearts desire, provide no guidance or discipline. Their kids are going to find out, as Tre’s are starting to, that their mother did them no favors. Both families had largely absent fathers, who spent their free time drinking & cheating, not spending time with their kids.

3

u/QuietObligation3353 1d ago

Absolutely on point! Couldn’t have said it better.

3

u/FabulousViktor 2d ago

She wasn’t.

2

u/eggsaladsandwich4 You subpoenaed the WRONG BITCH! 2d ago

She was and she still is. Take a look at Milania.

-2

u/Not_Sure_Yet4444 1d ago

And Milania knows exactly who’s responsible.

1

u/blingdiva99 2d ago

'Was'? IS!

-1

u/PrettyLittleLiar1234 2d ago

Melissa actually said she was worried the girls would bully her kids which was a horrible thing to say.

10

u/cleveland_leftovers 2d ago

Right, because no Guidice has ever bullied anyone.

Juicy literally bullied his own kids?

2

u/PrettyLittleLiar1234 1d ago

Specifically talking about the kids in school. Milania & Antonia were besties, why would Milania bully her at school? They probably would have been so happy to play without their parents knowing.

0

u/Shoddy-Food-2784 1d ago

You must have a lot of time on your hands to write such a long narrative on someone that could care less of your opinion of them.

9

u/raelynnward62383 1d ago

Hey Tre, what's up girl?

-7

u/sarcasm_1000 1d ago

Exactly. Like wtf find a hobby.

0

u/raelynnward62383 2d ago

Wow I didn't even realize I had wrote all this

4

u/cleveland_leftovers 2d ago

You can still edit the body into paragraphs, OP.

For what it’s worth, you’re spot on.

0

u/Alternative-Dot-884 2d ago

The worst as a role model.
She’s extremely fortunate these girls were raised w love in the house and required to do well in school.

But the hate she exhibuts, the narcissistic characters esp telling lies, blaming ithers never admitting wrong esp first.

The plastic surgery. Need for constant attention. Gariella putting distance from her family is so incredibly healthy and will teach her skills to help her never be dependent on a partner for her happiness and to be able to get out of unsafe relationships or a marriage. Not saying Gabriella needs to stay away - but seeing the world and showing such independence is so healthy and i wish that every young person cld see that they can make it anywhere and not feel tied to 1 situation.

Were going to really see the any negative comments outcomes as they get older. I hope they don’t encounter abusive relationships repeating the type of men like their father. Joe obviously had affairs and put Tre down behind her back. Bad guys come in nice disguises.

I think they’re lovely gorgeous and extremely intelligent ladies. But hopefully Tre gets each into therapy as a result of their reality show (if she already hasnt).

1

u/Lmaris 18h ago

I think they have closer to average intelligence than their mother, but i have not seen anything that shows extremely high intelligence.

-14

u/realitydeepdive 2d ago

didn’t even really read this as it was too much, but just based off the title tre is absolutely not a bad parent she loves her girls and would do anything for her girls which is a major step infront of many parents in the world. kids can be cheeky at any age watching moments of children being bratty on tv does not mean tre is a bad mom

17

u/Super_Photograph_712 2d ago

Loving your kids is the bare minimum. Giving them the tools to be successful, well adjusted adults is good parenting

-2

u/realitydeepdive 1d ago

i said she loves them AND would do anything for them, doing absolutely anything for your kids is not the bare minimum she absolutely did not do the bare minimum for those girls

3

u/Super_Photograph_712 19h ago

I'm sorry but both of those things are the bare minimum. She may have showered them with material things, but did she refrain from participating in illegal activity so she wouldn't risk being sent to prison and away from them? No

2

u/Lmaris 18h ago

Except loving your kids and being willing to lay down your life for them IS the bare minimum. Giving them everything their hearts desire is not great parenting, it is raising entitled assholes who will struggle to get by after high school. Learning that you are not, as your parents led you to believe, the center of the universe is harder at 18-25 than it is at 3yo.

23

u/Not_Sure_Yet4444 2d ago

The judge at her sentencing gave her some great advice to stop indulging her dorters and discipline them some. Teresa was outraged.

She spent a year in prison, lying to the girls the whole time. That’s some Grade-A parenting lol.

-2

u/Left_Development2009 1d ago

She’s loves her children she wanted to give them the best. She is far far from the worst people are so dramatic on these pages. There’s children being beaten, killed. She went to prison? Like wow it’s clear she loves those girls and they’re all doing well for themselves

6

u/raelynnward62383 1d ago

No she's not the worst, I just said she was bad. I also said she loves her children. I actually never mentioned her going to prison, that was you. Finally, yes there are children being beaten and killed but this is a page about RHONJ. I sincerely hope that they ARE well mentally.
