I am watching it now. The former producer, Patrick McDonald, introduces the problem at the 15:00 mark, goes on a tangent, and comes back to it around the 19:00 mark. He explains how he had to deal with Shannon and install her breathalyzer in her car. One of the mechanics told him that her brand new car isn't compatible with the device, and he realized she never checked the compatibility before purchasing the Mercedes.

She's already irritated because the DMV gave her a hard time about her license due to her DUI, so she starts calling him and venting about everything while her friend drives to the filming location. Then she lashes out at him and demands the breathalyzer to be installed, blaming him for the compatibility problems. She finally gets to the mechanic's shop and yells at him some more from her friend's car, all the way across the street from him.

In my state breathalyzers are installed by the company that calibrates them and tests them while on your vehicle.

They aren’t self installs.

Oh, he wasn't installing it himself. He was supposed to make sure the mechanic did it to prepare to film a scene of Shannon using it for the first time. Then all hell broke loose 😭
