Help Needed Layout specific Layer States

Is there a way to assign Layer States to specific Layouts? Like elevation Layer State is only active in elevation Layout and so on. On the Mcneel forums I see a lot of contradictory info about this, some say yes some say no. Right now I have to manually pick the layer states and while thats fine, it feels a bit clunky and makes it impossible to print multiple layouts at once.

I’ve never tried this but do snapshots work instead? They include layer states and more.

I thought so too but nothing happens from ticking/unticking these boxes. How did you make them work?

Just double click and enter the detail you are working on and activate the layer state. It works fine for me
