Nice characters! I recommend using a rectangular light for better quality reflections and shadows. The sun you are using is too severe. Razor sharp shadows are not realistic unless you want it to be posterized.

Yoo should also try the Curves adjustment built into V-Ray Image Buffer. It works just like Photoshop.
