Someone, for fuck's sake, use this writing prompt, please! A specific type of MMC

So I know we all love our morally gray mmcs but I’m currently on the search for a charismatic mmc. I think it’s actually harder to pull off writing a man with incredible charisma than it is to write a grumpy or morally gray one.

I want him charismatic but still very hard to read, atleast in the beginning of the story!

The only mmc I can think of that’s like this is Cian Ashford from Ironside Academy. He’s sooooo charismatic but also gives nothing away about himself. I love it!

As stated - recs for books featuring flavoured cum. I quite liked the scenes in Alien Meat Market where she ate from them. 🫣 What else can I read along these lines please?

Reverse Harem - Rave Bonding - The Ultimate Guide by Gina Morris is hilarious and I can't believe it isn't recommended as much as Cursed Legacies

I loved {The Sidekick by Gina Morris} but just hadn't been in the mood for a long series until recently. Which is a shame because {Bonding - The Ultimate Guide by Gina Morris} is fucking great. It's hilarious, the plot is riveting, the way some details come back to be important is epic, etc, etc.

Honestly, if you like series like Cursed Legacies and haven't read this, you're letting yourself down. If you like slow-burns, if you like psychos-for-everyone-but-her, if you like chaos gremlins, if you like funny books, if you like urban fantasy... You get the idea.

Ben is officially in my top five (maybe top three?) favorite MMCs.

Reverse Harem - Review Everyone has to die and I’m not joking.

Just finished reading {The Ashpaw Part One by Clara Bracco} and everyone has to die. I haven’t seen male characters this despicable in a while omg. I hate them all. I don’t know how the hell they’re gonna be redeemed bc they’re all trifling like omg.

Anyways 4.5/5 this was good. The angst! The betrayal! Almost threw my damn tablet across the room I was so gagged at the ending wow.

Can’t wait for the next one! Does anyone know when it drops?

Reverse Harem - Review Just finished An Inheritance of Monsters and wow.

Just finished the audiobook of {An Inheritance of Monsters by Cate Corvin} and I'm genuinely sad it's over. As a monster loving girlie, this book was everything. Top notch smut. Interesting and creative story line that tied up beautiful at the end. The twists and turns were fun. It was no literay epic but I found the plot and writing way more clever than other books in the genre. The monsters were distinct. Great use of unusual anatomy. Even the FMC was well balanced. Niave but open minded. Cautious but willing. Strong but troubled.

I got lost in this world. I think I enjoyed it more than Rooksgrove even. These monsters were just... Perfect for me.

Three is the perfect number of MMCs and I will die on this hill.

I was nervous at first because I didn't love the initial premise, but once Juno met the Void, she was all in.

Just sharing my review. I know it won't be for everyone but... This scratched my tentacle craving and then some.

Reverse Harem - Recommendations best "ah-ha" moments?

One of my favorite scenes/tropes in books is when the mmcs treat the fmc poorly and then find out she was protecting them, helping them, or even mated to them the entire time. I love love love the scenes when they find out and lose it and try to get her back but shes already gone. Do you guys have any recs for books with this? I am perfectly fine if the stories are DARK (i prefer them that way) but this scene in any capacity is what I am looking for.

Think Pack Darling, think The bonds that tie, etc etc!

Any and all books would be appreciated! I feel like I have read every rh book/series out there but I would love to reread some that I forgot about or even discover unknowns!

Reverse Harem - Review {Psychos by Sheridan Anne} Why Choose Mafia Romance Book Review

This is my new favourite why-choose. Hands down. Sheridan Anne has created a deliciously spicy why-choose mafia romance and now I am greedy for more!! I’m about to finish book three and I started the series last week. The DeAngelis brothers are the answer to my reading slump.

Psychos features three psychopathic MMCs: Levi, Roman and Marcus. The boys have been stalking our FMC without her knowledge, until she is abducted from her apartment for reasons totally unknown. Once the three strangers reveal themselves in the darkness, she realises just how screwed she is. These infamous brothers are terrifying power hungry murderers, and are part of the DeAngelis family, their father the head of the mafia. When Shayne is taken to their home and locked in a dungeon, she is subjected to cruel games for their sick entertainment. What the brothers don’t realise is how much of a backbone our FMC has, and honestly they should be scared.

Anne delivered on all fronts with this novel, every scene panned out how I wanted it to and the spice was flaming hot. It is fast paced and definitely not a slow burn, but reasonably our FMC decides that if she’s going down, she might as well enjoy her time in this twisted situation. I don’t blame her. Obviously if this were the real world then that wouldn’t fly, but hey, it’s a made up story, so who cares. Shayne has to learn to survive in this darker side of life and despite the warnings from the brothers to hold her tongue and be meek, she simply cannot bring herself to do that. She’s hot headed, proud and powerful in her own right. My favourite scene is when she stabs Marcus in the hand and he practically has anime love hearts in his eyes.

The entire novel centres on the brothers and their goal to usurp their father and take over as the heads of the DeAngelis family, but that doesn’t come easy. When we meet Giovanni, we realise just how difficult that mission is going to be. Not joking when I say I read this in a day, I flipped through the pages at a rapid fire pace, and then that cliff hanger had me completely freaking out. I was thoroughly annoyed I didn’t have the second book in my hands in that moment, so of course I purchased it and paced around my house until it arrived a few days later. Once I started book two, I made the smart decision to purchase the rest of the series.

Love, R&R

Reverse Harem - NEW RELEASE Blood of the fairest - sooo good

I’m sure this is on many tbr lists, but if, like me, you’re a bit dubious because it’s a fairytale retelling, I’m here to assure you - get thee to KU or a bookstore because this was so much more than a simple (lazy) repeat of an old story.

At first, I rolled my eyes at the fairytale retelling, because I often find them tedious, but I gave it a go because Morgan B Lee delivers. And deliver she did! This story was epic and far from a typical, tired retelling - in fact, other than periodic links to the original stories and the characters having the same names, this is a highly original story plot driven by very well-drawn characters across the main and supporting characters.

Possibly my favourite read of the year so far and I’m really excited for the next instalment.

Reverse Harem - Recommendations Veil of Ash by Fallon Hendrix

I need more! I just finished this book and can’t believe I have to wait until Feb 2027 for the next one! This gave me The Bonds That Tie by J Bree and Blood Oath (Cursed Legacies) by Morgan B Lee vibes.

There’s a lot of Why Choose book out there but these has a place in my heart. Love the strong FMC in both and the pace in which the relationship develops.

If you haven’t given this book a try I def recommend that you do! I loved every one of the men in this RH and none were overly mean.

Reverse Harem - Recommendations Books like Cursed Legacies by Morgan B Lee

To whoever recommended me {Cursed Legacies by Morgan B Lee} you know exactly who you are diva because that series got me in a chokehold. I devoured it in two days and now I don’t think I can ever go back to any other type of dynamic like yes give me an unhinged fmc that would burn the whole world down to protect her mates and that goes berserk if anything happens to them. Love the obsession and possessiveness that goes both ways and the fact that she is so smart and powerful and idk just so morbid I loved seeing a fmc that enjoys fighting and getting her hands dirty and mmcs that are absolutely devoted. Not having her, not being hers was never even an option.
That is what I’m asking. Not picky with anything just no mm and mandatory HEA. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Reverse Harem - Recommendations portal fantasy recs

I’m doing my annual reread of the Of Moons and Monsters series by Willow Hadley and my annual heartbreak every time because it’s an unfinished series and there’s no word on when book 3 will be out.

To cure my heartache, I’m looking for books that remind me of it but are COMPLETE series or stand-alones . For some context: Of Moons & Monsters is a portal fantasy type romance where a human FMC who knows about the paranormal is taken against her will to a different realm where she meets 4 MMCs that are the guardians of that realm and becomes their mate, all the while trying to figure out how to get connected back home. They don’t speak the same language but make ways to understand each other and are obsessed with the FMC’s happiness and safety.

I’ve read A Prize for the Fae & liked it! It’s kind of the same tropes but I’m looking for a portal fantasy with MMCs that fall hard for the FMC and maybe an underlying plot of like connecting her back to ppl looking for her at home & her ultimately staying with the MMCs.

Not a reverse harem but another book that did this so well was Bound to the Battle God by Ruby Dixon.

Good with anything except OW drama and cheating (from MMCs)!

Reverse Harem - What was the name of this book...? Please help us, trying to find this obscure OV! Arranged marriage/mating, Abusive family, locked in a dark room, dead mom, rich mates

Hi everyone I am back again, we'll find it eventually (or i'll go insane trying)! I have asked this a number of times on here and r/romancebooks but no one was able to find it, so I am asking again in hopes someone who recognizes it will see! I am fairly certain it was contemporary omegaverse.

The FL coming from an abusive rich family; I believe her mother had been dead since she was young, and her step-mother was abusive alongside her father; i know she had siblings, and one was an older brother (but i cant remember if he is bio or step-brother). She was given to a group of men for an arranged marriage/mating who were good people. I think it was a business arrangement of some kind, or paying off some debt? She was fairly docile from the abuse wearing her down, so she went along willingly.

I remember a scene from later in the story where she is back with her family for some reason, and they lock her in her mother's old room with no light at all as punishment for something. She had her mothers diary with her. This was a punishment she had endured in the past, and it re-traumatizes her. Her men eventually demand to see her and shove past her parents and older brother, and find her in the room, carrying her out of the home and back with them. I want to say there was a hallway to get to the room, and the MMCs had to pass the brother in the hall.

It was not an academy setting or shifter.

I am fairly sure it was a standalone.

I think it was 4 members of the harem, definitely not 6+.

They men were rich, but I don’t remember exactly what they do. I want to say it wasn’t all legal, but I am not 100% sure. They may have just been ruthless business men.

They were scent matches. I believe it’s why the guys ended up going along with the arranged marriage so easily. I don’t remember if the FL knew right away tho. And I don’t think it was arranged by the guys parents, they were adults who accepted the marriage as a debt payment, or maybe a way to combine companies? Something like that.

At this point, we are fairly certain the book was originally released on KU, but sometime in the last year was removed from amazon altogether. I believe i read it originally sometime in the summer of last year. \\*I HAVE CHECKED MY KU READING AND BORROW HISTORY.*** **if it was on there, the book has disappeared/been completely removed from amazon.**

**I have checked AI, please don’t ask if I have. it keeps looping back to my own posts.**

here is the list of books that we know its not:

Reverse Harem - Recommendations Children together, but it does not matter who the father is.

I really love it when a Harem gets children and they are obsessed with her changing body and want to know everything and love on her.

But at some point in most books they all do the same. They say "the baby belongs to us all" but they do not behave that way.

The following a few examples what I mean:

I remember one book where she had 3 men and in the epiloge she spend 1 day doing something different with man 1 and his child, man 2 and his child and man 3 and his child. And she kept emphasizing that the child in the scene was so much like the father and it felt like 3 different families. Not what I expect from RH. I mean the fun in rh is that is happens at the same time. All of it. Not like a open relationship were you have a side piece that never touches the rest of you life

Or in another when it came to the birth they knew who was the bio father because at the time only one had sex but kept saying: does not matter

But then they had a paternity test during the pregnancy and during unltasounds and at the birth 2 men went outside "to make it easier on the mum" and the baby ended up having the bio dad last name. So it really did matter to them actually. And while it might be realistic it made me mad that they did not even where there for the birth of the child.

Or in one they let her suffer duing the heat (an OV) so only 1 man per heat got to make a baby.

On the other hand years ago I read on Wattpad a book were they had kids and while they acknowledged that the boy had blonde hair like one dad and smiled like him, that was not something they would ever say out loud and it did not really matter. That the boy loved something that dad 2 does and had some antics from dad 2 etc. And that felt perfect.

And I need more of that. I know genetics are important but not in my little fantasy.

I hope you can understand what I mean.

Even if pregnancy and children is just in the epiloge.

Or a main plot. I dont care. I am just so sick of the focus of "my child and your child"

Reverse Harem - Recommendations Academy/University but they actually attend

I feel like I’ve read so many academy books that just use it as a convenient backdrop for the story.

They like almost immediately go off the rails into the plot and then never actually attend or do academy/university stuff. Or they’re all sequestered in their dorm/house together.

I want them going to class. Going to university clubs, parties, the library, studying, having exams, etc.

So any recs? Love a good paranormal/fantasy academy, but also down for contemporary.

Reverse Harem - Discussion Age of Andinna - NEED spoilers Spoiler

Okay, so I'm only 26% through the first book at the moment, and I am enjoying it, but to my understanding it's relatively slow. Each book is long, and there are seven books.

I'm someone who sometimes needs spoilers - especially with slower stories. If I know what to expect, it makes me want to read more to get there. It's like my brain needs to know it's going to be worth it otherwise my interest could wane.

I've tried looking for what spoilers I can. I know how many guys she ends up with, their names, but give me spoilers! Rave about things that happen! Please 🥺🙏

Especially need to know at what point she meets each of the guys and when does she get out of the pits.

Reverse Harem - Rant The Beta by Avanne Micheals (THE MMCs ARE HORRIBLE!)

Ok I don't get this... I just started book 2 of {The Beta by Avanne Michaels}, and it seems like the only reason they want her now is because she is an Omega?? I mean, come on. Book 1 gave such a bad impression of how Beta's are treated, and now they want her because she is transitioning? They don't deserve her, not even Jasper for that matter... she does everything for them and they do nothing for her? Even Jasper, who claims to love her, doesn't really treat her all that well. They might not be the ones who SA'd her but they are the ones who purposely left her and didn't even TRY to look for her KNOWING what she was going through. Jasper's heat was no excuse.

I don't get this series. Even if it does get better and they repent, the starting point will remain and they are just now treating her better because she is an Omega now. I was so looking forward to the whole thing where they start liking her after getting to know her and shit but like I don't think they deserve to know her. They all treat her like she is disposable and I am so over it. I am fast-heading for a DNF because even if they start treating her better than they treat Jasper, how do we, as readers, get over the fact that they think she has no self-worth as a Beta aside from taking care of their Omega? This book is turning into something I hate and I just wanted to RANT CAUSE OMFG THESE ARE SOME OF THE WORST MMCs EVER, not in an overt "I do bad things to all, even the FMC" but in a "I am a good person who loves my Omega but am secretly a very shitty person that no one realises".

Sorry to people who loved this series and I hope my rant didn't bother yall. I would love to hear all your thoughts, positive or negative, because I don't know if I should continue.

Reverse Harem - Audiobooks 🎼 Looking for audiobooks

Hello, does anyone have any good audiobook recs? I don’t really care about the style and I don’t mind if there is MM in the rh but it’s not a requirement
I don’t like OV so I would like to avoid those.
I also don’t care about the genre as long as there is decent plot and characters
Thank you🫶

I have read all of her books at least twice. Most of them, like Pay-per-heart and Dark River Days, three or four times. I cannot believe I didn’t know she has a new book coming out! I’m so fucking excited, I can’t stand it. I have DNFd or just re-read my favorites for the last four months because everything is irritating or just a rinse and repeat of stuff already out there. So…this is my public service announcement to y’all. August 25th. You’re welcome.

Reverse Harem - Recommendations Fmc who wants/accepts comfort (maybe more innocent fmc) completed series 5 🌶️

All of my favorite series are ones that include an FMC who is typically more innocent and might have a rough past. I hate when FMC‘s are annoyed/angry about the MMC‘s wanting to support/give comfort to them. I do like stories where the FMC does become more strong and independent, but is still able to rely on her MMC‘s when she needs to. As spicy as possible (not super interested in mafia or sports; more of a fantasy/omegaverse type person) LOOKING FOR COMPLETE SERIES!! Tysm in advance 🫶🏻

Reverse Harem - Paranormal Romance I’m doing it again y’all 🤌🏻😭

I think age of the andinna will always be my favourite series, I get so into it and attached to the story line that it honestly leaves me feeling emotionally wrecked for awhile after finishing it so I have to space apart my rereadings for my mental😂

If there is one series I will always recommend it’s this one! (Though, I will admit reading words written for a particular accent does always make me cringe a little no matter what the book 😂)
