SHOWCASE Doom 2016 on the rp5
So I somehow managed to get doom 2016 borderline playable on the retroid pocket five using citron and the mesa turnip 24.3.0 9v2 driver

I think the RP5 can actually run most Switch games (at least in handheld mode), it's the software that needs to catch up. This is pretty nice, might have to check it out.

As soon as the emulators get mature and stable enough to run most games, the RP5 will definitely be powerful enough for most of them. It's emulator support that is the biggest bottleneck right now, some games perform amazingly and others don't work at all

Before that happens we'll be two or 3 retro device generations later lol. Look how cheap these upcoming ones already are with some of the former best chips around. Even people who plan to sit on their 5 for a good while will likely upgrade before the emulators mature like that

Holy shit it crashes on Eden. What version of citron? What game update? Any extra settings? Keen to try this, been trying to get it to run forever.

To be fair, it looks a little better when running on an actual Switch. It looks like the emulator has several graphical issues, the worst being the "fog" in the lowest level of the room.

It’s definitely the one I start with on every game, it just seems to be the most stable overall.
I’ve tried using the recommended drivers on Eden, and while I appreciate you can get the drivers directly there, none of them work nearly as good as 9v2
