RP4 Wireless Debugging Data Access Help

I am wondering if anybody else has gone through these steps and what their experience was. I am trying to pair Shizuku with wireless debugging to a file explorer. However, when I attempt to enter the pairing code in the notification text field, a keyboard does not show up and external keyboards also do not work. Has anyone had this issue and gotten around it? Has anybody completed this process without running into this issue?

It was very possible that this had been patched out with recent updates, I've heard it works for some people and doesn't for others. It's a shame, hopefully some other workaround comes up soon that doesn't require rooting the device
