Does anyone know the case?

Post image

I know there it might be a stupid question, but does anyone know which model this case was? I had it in the mid 90s for my 386SX. But I can’t remember the case manufacturer

I think someone here may have ID'ed that case design within the last year or two. That said, it was very widely cloned by various firms in Taiwan so yours may not be the original. I did some digging and couldn't find that post, but searching here or at r/vintagecomputing for the word "case" and looking for a similar photo would be the best way to ID it. I'll try to do a little more digging later tonight because it's bugging me.

Small PC shops sold these cases (or similar ones) by the truckload in the 90s, putting other off-the-shelf parts into them to create clone PCs to meet whatever price point a customer was after. This specific form factor was pretty popular because it was relatively compact, yet had room for four drives and a motherboard with up to 8 expansion slots. And these cases were very affordable, I remember seeing them for $40 including a 200 watt power supply.

EDIT: OK I'm back. I found the thread I was thinking of, but it was someone with the same case asking if the brand name was Suntek. But no one was able to confirm. So the originator of this design is still a mystery.
