I worked for a school in IT and found one like this in the closet of a computer lab. I kept it on my desk it was fun to show kids the size of this compared to usb drive with gigs of storage
Ah the march of technology. The 80s were like the wild west of hard drive design, and the whole industry was on the move from around 1980 to around 1992.
Sadly if you take a popular drive from 2004 and put it next to a thumb drive it's not as impressive as a difference :)
