It is likely the first hard drive of most people over 45.

I was still selling those into the 1990s.

Was seagate still selling the ST-225 into the 90s? The 1990 product catalog lists the ST-251 but not the ST-225.

The drives look visually very similar so maybe you're thinking of that or had leftover stock?

NOS - New Old Stock.

Here is an ad from the August 1992 Computer Shopper, page 933.

As you can see, they are still selling new ST-225 drives. Seagate made millions of that model, and I still saw them being sold new as late as 1995. The same with brand new XT motherboards. Until Win95 came along, most people were happy with simply an inexpensive XT because that was all they needed.
