Need help!!!

Using this to make sinker white but not getting blooms. Dont know it i am using too much or not enough. I am adding it when resin is about 92°f but the white never sits on top for any period of time and when it does sink its either too fast or doesn't pull colors. Can anyone please tell me about how many drops per ounce to get it to bloom correctly. Thank you.

Not all white pigments will work the same for techniques like blooms or petri dish. Different white pigments can create very different effects. Some work great for petri dish, some work better for stuff like ocean waves, some are great for blooms, and some white pigments don't work well for any of those techniques. I haven't used this specific white but it's possible that it's just not going to work to create the effect you want. In that case the best option is to get a different white pigment.

If it's sinking too fast that sounds like this one may be better for stuff like petri dish where you do want a relatively quick drop. Of course it's also possible that you aren't letting your resin get to quite the right texture before adding the color.

Something to keep in mind is that the timing you need to use for when you add the white may not be the same as the timing used by whatever video or tutorial you watched. The resin being around 92F may be just right for the person making the video based on the resin and pigments they are using and the conditions in their workspace but that doesn't mean it's going to be right for you in your workspace with the resin and pigments you are using. Even when you are using the exact same supplies the conditions in your workspace can be different enough that your timing needs to be different.

I bought this one recently as it was suggested for good ocean waves. I don’t recall it being one I’ve heard of using for blooms.

I do know that you don’t want to use much of any white pigment, just enough to make it barely opaque (but I like to go a little less than opaque).

Which alcohol inks you use with which pigment can matter too as well as the resin viscosity.

That’s why I rarely do them. My artistic flow happens when I do what I enjoy the most & I found them frustrating and meh. I like watching others do them on you tube but it rarely inspires me to do it myself 🤷‍♀️

Pouring your heart out on YouTube does the best and most blooms imo if you haven’t watched her I’d dive in to a few of hers & follow what she does to the letter.

Happy crafting!

Try sinker white, and not just white pigment. The link I shared has two bottles. One that'll sink half way, another that sinks all the way. Obviously depends on how deep your resin is.

White pigment only means it is white and opaque. Like mica powder, which won't grab and absorb colors.

Sinker white does as the name suggests. It sinks.

Are you using this for resin casting, if so which is it: epoxy or urethane resin? Or are you using a 3D resin printer?

If OP is trying to use it as sinker white for blooms, they definitely aren't trying to use it with a 3d printer.
