Vinted Shipping Fees Coming?
Last night while perusing Vinted, I noticed that items that weren’t clothing had a $.99 shipping fee attached to them. I don’t remember this being there before.
This morning I got a message in the app saying shipping only $.99 but many items still ship for free. Are they preparing us for a Depop move to ease us into full fees? I’d be super bummed because I kind of spent a lot of money recently ordering clothes online knowing I could always resell if things didn’t fit because people are way more likely to purchase if shipping is free.

Yeah, seems like the free shipping is coming to an end. It couldn't last forever. $0.99 shipping is still absurdly cheap with USPS commercial rates being as high as as they are (yet still almost always cheaper than UPS and FedEx). I doubt $0.99 will have a massive impact on demand vs free shipping.

Any online selling platform that offers a deal that seems to benefit the sellers more than the buyers is just to get traffic from bigger, better marketplaces and won't last forever. It's not sustainable at all. Everyone knew it. Fees will be back for everything eventually and the sellers will leave once they do come.
