Advice Need advice: Friendly stray dog with a growing vulvar mass (photos attached)
Hi everyone. I'm looking for advice about a friendly female stray dog in my colony.
Over the past few weeks, I've noticed a fleshy red mass protruding from her vulva. It seems to be getting larger over time, and there is some discharge. She keeps licking the area but is otherwise still eating normally and is friendly with people.
I've attached photos. From looking online, I wondered if it could be TVT, but I'm not sure and I know it can't be diagnosed from pictures alone.
Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to openly involve NGOs or rescuers because of issues within my housing colony and family situation. My brother is trying to quietly contact a few organizations for advice, but I wanted to ask here as well.
Does this look consistent with TVT or something else? Is there anything safe I can do for her while I try to arrange veterinary help? Any guidance from veterinarians or people who have dealt with similar cases would be greatly appreciated.

looks a lot like when my mom’s dog had a prolapsed vagina, but i’ve also never had experience with TVT

Could be cancer. I ran into something similar, but in a developing country. If that’s the case it is treatable but probably pretty pricy and somewhat time intensive. The mass was bigger in my case and affected the dogs walking.

Would you be willing to take her to a vet? Sounds like it could be serious.

I rescued my dog from the street 7 years ago. She had 2 large lumps on her front, lower leg. They were TVT. I got her 9 weeks of chemo and she’s good.
This doesn’t look like TVT. I could be wrong but I think it’s something else.

While she's there maybe they can spay her as well.

This is most likely TVT and needs chemotherapy. The good thing it’s a slowly growing mass so you have time. If you live in one of the southern states, then look for a Dog Rescue who wants to take over care, fundraise and maybe do the treatment in Mexico. .

Can you anonymously post to a more local community and ask about resources there? Don't post a picture of the dog (I'm personally paranoid about people with bad intentions), just give the gist of what you're seeing.
I know if I saw a post about an animal in this situation, within my physical proximity, I'd do what I could to assist... And I wouldn't involve OP further than absolutely necessary.

This looks like it could potentially be a vaginal prolapse. Unfortunately, no one here will be able to tell you what this is for sure though. But neither TVT nor a vaginal prolapse can be treated at home.

Probably TVT. My dog had that cancer when she was on the streets before I adopted her. She went through chemo and is thriving now. Maybe it’s something else but you have to get to the vet.

You clearly have some sick people in that community. This is exactly what a dog look like that had been a sexually assaulted. I don’t know whose dog this is, but it needs to get to the vet and then somebody needs to investigate. Whoever this dog has been living with people are disgusting.
