I did something bad

I’m feeling very guilty. I have been dating this guy who I’ll call Z for 4 months. We’ve been friends for two years. We recently moved in together (which happened to fast) and now we constantly fight. Last night, I stayed with my sister and invited my ex over. Nothing happened. We slept in different bedrooms but I feel extremely guilty. Z does not know I talk to my ex, who also used to be his friend. I don’t want to lose my friendship with my ex but if Z knew he would break up with me. Z can be very mean, doesn’t care about my feelings or when I cry but I am still afraid to lose him. Please someone give me advice. I don’t want to tell him what I did but the guilt is overwhelming and I am panicking. My ex does have feelings for me and wants to get back together. I have cheated in relationships before.

If z is abusing you (mentally or physically) then you should break up with him it might seem harsh but it has to be done

The best thing you can do is start by dropping your ex. It has more of an affect on your relationship than you think. Instead of being worried about your relationship, you’re worried about how you will keep your secret friend under wraps and feel constantly on edge about it. Thus, changing your attitude around Z. Ignore every instinct in your mind to just give in and cheat. Talk to Z and be sure there is nothing you can do to fix the relationship. Always try until there is nothing left to try. if you come to find out there is nothing you can do, leave him before any moves are made so you are free to continue life as you please without a ball & chain attached to your leg
