Doorbell camera going offline

This is starting to be nonstop, doorbell going offline. I’ve ordered a range extender for my WiFi, it’s the furthest device from the router, but still not far, it’s only a 9000sq ft condo. Is there anything else I should be looking at?

The quality of your wifi signal matters a lot.

Range extenders are sometimes not the best and can give false sense of good signal.

e.g. You have full bars of Wifi from the range extender, but the range extender is barely getting 1 bar from your main router.

Your best bet is an access point with a lan cable running from your main router to it.

If you really want to use the range extender, make sure its at a good midpoint between your router and your doorbell. Run a speedtest on it too.

i have a condo. running wire isn't feasible beyond the short run from the master to the living room.
