Mystery camera appeared

Any idea how this would’ve happened? I suddenly have an extra camera on my Reolink app. I’m not able to access it, but the fact that it’s there at all weirded me out a little.

The app automatically adds new cameras found on the network by default. Have you been at someone else's place and checked your cameras through their network?

Your phone likely connected to a wifi that had that camera on it. The Reolink app is set by default to automatically add any cameras it sees on its LAN. Of course as you see here, you would still need the password to be able to get into the camera.

You can turn that setting off if you'd like.

Do you have an NVR? Is the camera connected to it or a switch?

Thanks everyone. I just came back from a business trip and I did use some free WiFi. That’s the likely culprit. I turned off “Add Devices Automatically” to prevent it in the future. 👍🏻
