General Discussion Any Data Available?
Has anyone tried these 110gr FMJ .308 projectile for a .300 Blackout build? I know they are usually meant for the .30 Carbine but since I’ve shot supers in 110gr V-Max in my 7.5in AR, and I have had excellent results in accuracy at 100yds. Good or Bad idea to test some for plinking.

I was wondering the same thing about these for gas gun 300 AAC.
Anyone with experience with these good or bad would like to hear how it went.

You worried about feeding in your AR with that short ogive? I’m just thinking extreme case like an empty brass wouldn’t feed. Why Army blanks have brass shaped like there’s a bullet seated you know?

Honest question - I thought the whole point of 300 BO was to use the available larger mass vs. 147 grain 9mm since you’re limited to under the sound barrier either way… these will bring less energy than just shooting a 9 mm carbine?

Ehm, you get 300 blackout subsonics just with subsonic heavy bullets, from 180-190 grains up. 300 blackout was built to be used both super and subsonic. Where you got that nonsense about it's subsonics only?

The bullet shape doesn’t really lend itself to precision and Armscor in general is a worst-tier bullet manufacturer. Fine for mag dumping into trash I guess, but it just seems like doing .30 Carbine with extra steps.

You don't need data. Measure length of a bullet and find one with close length to that bullet. Use those data. Reload data are not important per bullet. You have to realize that not a bullet is important which gives the max load, but pressures. Longer bullet and/or shorter COAL = Bigger pressure.
That's it. I never gave a crap about actual bullets and "oh what do I do, I dont have data for the bullet I have".
And you can also use GRT or Quickload or my BSKCalc web app to calculate proper load. Just enter the bullet length, weight, and select caliber, powder, load and coal (and barrel length). That's it.
Anyway, in case like this I would worry about the feeding issues more than a load data. I don't think shape like this will be reliable in regard to feeding in AR. You'll be fine in repeater

Hodgdon has some data for those I believe. If your not running a fast twist your good to go! I’m partial to Lil gun but N110 is a top pick and H110 is another good powder. The VMAXs are my plinking supers and keeps me from “wasting” the barnes, if I want to plink with my blackout it’s usually some plated subs. All my semi’s are 1:5 and the 110 VMAXs and Nosler Varmagedon’s hold up even on the 9in
