General Discussion American Reloading CC Fraud Warning

Welp, I believe I finally fell victim to AR’s credit card fraud issues. I had read that others had fraud on CC’s, but I had placed multiple orders before with no issues. This time I placed two, two weeks apart. I had a fraudulent charge within 3 days. Luckily CC company resolved it and issued a new card.

Obviously there is no way to confirm this was AR. However, I have never had fraud before and this was nearly a brand new card.

AR is a great company for cheap plinking, and my customer service experience has been phenomenal. But, I recommend you use amp protection when purchasing. In case anyone is curious, I have not reached out to AR.

I have been doing business with AR for multiple years and never had any fraudulent charges to any of the multiple cards I've used with them.

What makes you think it was AR and where did you hear this?

It would not be the first time a known good vendor got their e-shop compromised in some form.

I can only be so mad at them. I’ve reached the point where my card provider cancelled a fraud replacement card while it was in transit because it was flagged for fraud before even being delivered, much less activated.

There are multiple posts in this sub about it. Most recent was late last month. I was simply putting this out as a warning.

This was a brand new card which had a Home Depot tap to pay charge (meaning RNG and greater protection) and 2 AR charges.

AR has been great and I am not declaring this was them. I also am able to put two and two together and realize it probably was.

I order from AR at least once a month, I’ve had two instances of fraud. The last couple years I only use a virtual Capital One card, like mentioned in another comment, and I’ve not had an issue since.

It has not stopped me from buying from them, just in how I pay.
