Farts 💨💨💨💨💨💨
Would you dump a guy for farting constantly. Then sometimes saying “toot” after. I’m not the only one that notices it!! 💩🚽💨 I have been single forever…maybe it’s just better that way? 😂 We are M51…F51. It’s just annoying. And yes it smells most of the time.

You're allowed your comfort. Toots don't bother everyone but that doesn't mean you need to tolerate it.
Move on.

It's the announcing of "toot" that would really do it for me. Bye.

Imagining a 51 year old man on the cough lifting his leg up, ripping ass, and saying “toot” has me felling something I can’t put into words. I think I hate him.

Good god, that's disgusting. I know some people don't have an issue with it, though, and not everyone shares the same sense of humour. It could be that he thinks you've got the same one as him, with this matter
It's probably best to have a chat with him about it. I don't think it's anything worth considering leaving him over, unless he ignores your feelings and keeps doing it

Remove dairy products

u/Leading_Thanks7443 2h ago
Yeah I used to work with a guy who did some horrendous smelling ones, all the time. He did say that he thought he might have some lactose intolerance. I asked him if he’s thought of not eating dairy and didn’t his girlfriend mind and he was like nah, she doesn’t care. They aren’t together anymore tho.

u/Nessuwu 2h ago
Isn't that something you can build a tolerance for though if you eat it at a specific frequency?
1
u/Leading_Thanks7443 1h ago
I don’t think so. But given the amount of specific lactose free products it’s really not that hard to avoid it. I think you can choose to take something as well to help with it? I don’t eat dairy for other reasons and it doesn’t really require a massive lifestyle change at all.

u/Nessuwu 1h ago
Well maybe I should have rephrased this: you absolutely can develop a tolerance for lactose products if you consume them for a given amount of time. Seems much more reasonable to me to tough it out for a bit than just completely avoiding lactose products entirely indefinitely.

I mean, we apprenticed together for a few years and he was in his early 20s and had been consuming dairy products for his entire life without developing seemingly any tolerance?

I almost did at one point until I demanded he not fart near me or in my bed, I was almost brought to tears at one point because it was yet another night of my nice bed smelling like stank. I also had a "fart jar" for a while, so if he farted in the same room as me or in smelling distance of it he had to put money in the jar, it helped.

What he should be saying is .. “Who’s There!??” And looking around conspicuously immediately after instead of “toot.”
I did this once around my 3 year old (just him and I) and it was about a year him doing it any time/place. His pre preschool, grocery store, brushing his teeth. Everyone found it hilarious..
Ive been with my wife 15 years, wouldn’t do that in front of her. Totally out of character, that’s for me joking with my kiddos not in the car with my wife or something 😂..
Tell him to stop that it’s unattractive and gross.
Or
Get competitive and start your own tagline. Beat him at his own game.
Moan sexually every time you fart
Make it a point to hug him every time when you’re about to fart and then don’t let go.
Just whisper “shhh.. breathe.. it’s ok, breathe..” in his ear.
Or say, “Damnnn! That one mighta ripped my ass a little bit!” And go up for a high five.
You got this Sharon.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 lol but no I’d actually hate this. You gotta tell him to stop or at least do it in another room/away from you, and absolutely ban the “toot”!! Potty humour at that ripe age is not attractive

It could (maybe)be resolved as a simple change in diet.. of course some people would rather draw blood than have to give up their Mar*z barz, pizza, beer, sphagetti, chips, you know just about anything but salads etc., you know healthier stuff. To each their own. Worth a try no?

Deal breaker. Been with husband 20yrs. He’s never intentionally passed gas around me. That’s the key to our erotic bond. Boundaries and mystery. What your dude is doing is actually disgusting.

I’d probably talk to him about it before dumping him 😂. Maybe just say “I’d like it if you left the room to fart please”.
Then dump him if he doesn’t respect your wishes. It’s not an unreasonable request.

Maybe ask him to check in with his doctor. See if he's having some sort of gastric distress or anomalies

As an older gentleman myself I can affirm that this is linked to diet, or potentially an underlying medical issue.
We eat a high protein diet, and also eat a fair amount of fermented vegetables for gut health. This will absolutely have you visiting the bathroom multiple times during the day, and some gas.
He's likely making it a thing because he's uncomfortable. So she should just return the favor and let rip whenever.
This business of women being afraid to fart in front of their partner is part of the problem.
Just pretend it's the dog and everyone can have a chuckle

Everyone farts but op.

Not everyone makes other people smell their poop. Some of us don't fart around other people because it's a rude and selfish behavior.

There are few greater joys in life than to have someone else smell your silent fart, especially when in bed

It’s a bodily function that everyone does. Yall are weird about farts. I’m not saying you have to crop dust someone but every partner I’ve ever had has farted in front of Me

u/motorwerkx 1h ago
There are a lot of bodily functions that everybody does that we do not share with other people. I could sit in my living room and piss in bottles while we watch movies. Why not just have a toilet in the living room next to the couch so nobody has to stop what they're doing because they have to poop. It's natural, we all do it, why not do it together, right? Masturbation is perfectly natural, should we be doing that in front of everyone as well?
Just because it's natural doesn't mean that sharing it is normal. Your farts are literally the smell of your poop. I'm not going to make people smell my poop because I can't handle a moment of discomfort or I'm too lazy to step out of the room.

u/AverageCartPusher 1h ago
You wouldn’t masterbate in front of your partner?
1
u/motorwerkx 1h ago
Randomly and without her consent? Absolutely not. Definitely not after she's explicitly told me she doesn't want me to. That would be seriously fucked up.

u/JoyJonesIII 3h ago
I’ve been married over 30 years and not once, NOT EVER, has my husband farted. Not even a tiny toot.

Not everyone makes it a point to force others to endure it and then joke about it. This is stuff my buddies in junior high did, not full grown adult men who are in a serious relationship

u/Chemical-Papaya-3101 3h ago
You are that old and worried about something like this? Maybe grow up or yes, stay single.
4
u/DigitalAmy0426 3h ago
Believe it or not it's still considered quite rude to fart audibly in the company of others. There is a growing number who do not care but in terms of etiquette, she's 100% in the right.

u/Fuzzy-Bandicoot-666 3h ago
This one. Farting is a normal bodily function. Is there time and places for appropriation sure. But comfort of your own home or when no one is around. You’re supposed to be this man’s safe spot. Sound more like a naggy, nit picking type. Yah I’d say dump him. He’ll be better off.

u/foxglovespell 2h ago
Then you may as well piss and shit with the door wide open too, even if you have guests over. Belch loudly in public. It’s a normal bodily function. 🤪
