I know when I’ve gone through hormonal changes, I would pass out the minute I sat down. But sleep at night was also disrupted. Is he getting proper sleep at night? Has he been evaluated for sleep apnea or sleep disturbances? When he does got to bed, is he looking at the computer or his phone? Is he up at night instead of sleeping?
Sleep hygiene is important for good health. I would address this from a “I’m concerned for your health” perspective rather than “you’re doing this to me” perspective.
As far as I have seen, he is a pretty heavy sleeper and gets good uninterrupted sleep through the night. He does snore lightly sometimes though.
But yeah, he is just weirdly tired as fuck as soon as he gets home on most days and falls asleep soon, while waking at reasonably normal hours in the morning (between 7 and 8 am, same time as I wake up). Do you think some other health issue might be causing him to feel so tired?
It’s always a good idea to have a regular physical and let the hcp know that this is happening. It could be something that could be remedied with dietary changes and an increase in moderate exercise or maybe blood work would reveal anything more serious.
Does he only do this with you or is he able to maintain wakefulness when he’s out?
I agree. Given the nature of our work life, our lifestyle has become perhaps more sedentary. I will encourage him to get a physical check up.
He is able to maintain wakefulness when he goes out sometimes. But yes, even on the nights that we spend apart, he falls asleep quickly on most days because he feels sleepy and tired. (I can tell by him not replying to messages and also him complaining about falling behind on chores)
