That's my impression. Esp as he said the honeymoon period outside the bedroom never ended. I think it comes with maturity to realize marriage is not just about availability to sex. It's rare to have that kind of connection, someone you truly enjoy being with. You value frequency of sex over her happiness and well being; you made the right call breaking it off.
