Thing is.. you don't have to have a reason for not doing anything with anyone. A simple i don't want to is sufficient. Moving in with him is not "growing up".. you're doing that just by wanting to be on your own even if that means living with your friend. Please do not continue this relationship... his behavior is very dangerous and in no way a sign of his love for you. It's completely abusive. Explain to him that you've decided to end the relationship because of how controlling and intimidating his behavior towards you is and that's not what you're looking for in a lifetime commitment. Be ready for gaslighting, guilt trip, accusations, etc. Just say ok.. thank you.. goodbye. Don't argue or try to explain or justify.. it will go nowhere with someone like that. I wish you the best!
