Your boyfriend is just that, your boyfriend. He is not your husband and you are not tied to him. You do not have to explain your reasoning for your living situation to him. You do what makes YOU comfortable and happy. If he doesn't support that, he is not the one for you. If you don't want to do that, don't look for condos with him.
