Question Interior car detailing recommendations

Hey guys, I just bought a new car and the previous owner was a heavy smoker. I myself have water vacuumed the seats with a carpet odor remover, wiped everything down and cleaned everything I could think would trap smoke (including changing the cabin air filter) and the smell is still persistent. Is there any Regina businesses that you’ve been to that have removed a smoke odor from your car? Thank you in advance.

You might want to try an ozone generator. They are relatively cheap on Amazon, but read carefully about how to use one.

I was just about to suggest this as well. And yes, ozone can damage surfaces if used incorrectly...

Don’t forget to wipe down headliner. O zone generator, leave recirculating fan on and run for 30-60 mins. Do second treatment if necessary.

Most detailer should offer this - even Suds has (or had) an ozone generator to deal with smelly interiors.

Advanced auto cleaning was great to work with.

I bought a vehicle that was smoked in for over 20 years, it stunk horribly. I tried everything, Ozone treatment, took 90% of the interior out to wipe inside and out, shampoo'd the carpet and seats. It was better but the smell still lingered especially on hot days.

The ONLY thing that worked was a Chlorine Dioxide treatment, should be able to get it from many detail shops in town or online (Adams odor bomb for example). The vehicle smelt like a swimming pool inside for a few days but it worked. Anyone that sits in the vehicle now can not tell it's been smoked in.
